OMG. This blows my mind. What a brand collab Bombay Sweet Shop (BSS) X Parle Products Pvt. Ltd. Parle was founded in 1929 and ParleG is probably the best-known biscuit in India. No other brand comes close. Bombay Sweet Shop was founded in 2020, so just three years old. I do not know the backstory of the collaboration but I congratulate Parle for trusting #insurgentbrands like BSS and leveraging each other's strengths to deliver a consumer experience that is unique, and more importantly, memorable. A master class in leveraging the strengths of two distinct brands. Those of you who have followed the evolution of brands will remember how the streetwear brands of the 80s and 90s convinced the more established and traditional brands to collaborate. The mindset was about creating experiences. It was never seen as a zero-sum game. Although I have seen a number of collaborations between #insurgentbrands, for example, Sleepy Owl Coffee X #GreaterThan (Nao Spirits & Beverages Pvt Ltd) launching a coffee-infused gin, I have not seen many established Indian brands do the same. I hope this will be the start of many more. Please share other examples of interesting brand collabs in India, in particular established legacy brands with #insurgentbrands. #insurgentbrands #parleG #iconic X #innovative The Bombay Canteen | Yash Bhanage | Sameer Seth | Parle Agro Pvt Ltd
