Are you 'judgy' in the kitchen? I was and here's what I learned.

Coffee and Contemplation #6

Okay so first, I don’t know if judgy is even a word but I’m going with it.

Today I’ve got a short riff on judging foods or types of cuisines before you’ve actually tried them. It’s something that I wanted to work on myself this year - not judging something until I’ve tried it. Because we can be quick to judge things, right?

It’s a lesson from the kitchen that works in life to - before jumping on the judgement train, take a minute to hear someone out or try something new. You never know what comes because of it. Maybe you have a new favourite food? Or a new friend.

Less judgement, more open minds. Imagine the possibilities!

PS - this is the link to the cookbook I was talking about Cook Real Hawaii - and I did not edit out my awful pronunciation of what I was cooking - because well, let’s keep it real right? It’s called Musubi, and I got it down now. ;)
