The Immediate Needs Support Package (INSP) is available to victims of domestic violence. It is intended to help pay for things you need urgently to be safe and healthy because of the violent crime.
Support packages available include:
Packages have pre-set limits and can be combined to a maximum amount of $5,000. Further information about the support packages is included on the INSP claim form (PDF, 780.9 KB).
For more information see Eligibility criteria.
Please complete both the Primary Victims form and the INSP claim form (PDF, 780.9 KB).
PDF forms are also available.
If the violent crime was reported to NSW police, you don't need to send us a police report. You just need to provide as much information as you can about what has happened to you in the application form.
If you receive an INSP, you will need to keep receipts, itemised tax invoices or other evidence, such as a tenancy agreement, for a period of five years.
You may be asked to provide these to Victims Services to show how you spent the INSP money.
Further information and optional forms are available to help you collect the information we need when applying for the Immediate Needs Support Package. This includes:
For more information on how to collect the information required, visit Supporting documents.
