The Nigeria innovator Megasley has launched the first active Bitcoin Lightning node in the country. The Bitcoin Lightning network has served as a foundational basis for a group of exciting projects that have emerged from the Bitcoin community. The purpose of the Bitcoin lightning node will better position the African continent to benefit from the myriad of layer two payment platforms or networks that are built atop the Bitcoin network with faster transaction speeds

African currency crypto exchange yellow card has introduced a new payment option called Yellow Pay that enables users to rapidly and cost-free send and receive money using the yellow card crypto exchange platform with only a few taps on their phones.
Nigeria to Create Stablecoins Legal Framework!🦥
Nigeria is set to create a legal framework for stablecoins and ICOs. Nigeria is on its way to finalizing the legal framework which will serve as a legal umbrella for stablecoins and ICOs. The Central Bank of Nigeria has cited the need for this framework in its latest strategy paper recognizing the fact that stablecoins have the potential to be a likely means of exchange in the future. 
Old Phones to Receive/Send Bitcoin!
Machankura Bitcoin wallet targets Africans with old-school phones and no Internet. The goal of a truly decentralized financial economy is to allow people to have unfettered access to their assets regardless of their phone limitations.

Ghanaian payments startup Pay Box believes Africa can leapfrog into Defi. The most significant problem that besets the African financial system is the difficulty of completing cross-border payments or finding efficient middlemen to facilitate the process. And this has been a problem for a really, really long time…
