Grant Johnson’s Post

A sad farewell, December 3rd was a sad day for me, as everyone now knows, I have been removed from EEG by the BOD. It was decided last Saturday ,when it was felt I was uncooperative in some objectives of the BOD, to dismiss me so here I am on the outside looking in. Putting my deep disappointment aside I would prefer to focus on the positive elements. The 8-year journey has been one with many ups and downs and I suspect there are lots of opinions regarding the journey given the current market, and understandably I imagine many are negative. However as anyone who has ever met me knows I had endless energy for the company and the people at EEG. I always maintained a deep passionate belief in what we were doing. I just want to say thank you to the many wonderful people that I had the opportunity to work with along the way. For those who are connected to me here on LinkedIn, if you have a chance to work with any of the below consider yourself in good hands. Internally John Brackens, Michael Wilson, Ashley Blake, Mattias Granqvist, Jenny Pace, Judy Tait, Dan Kynaston, Michael Winger, David Fitzpatrick, David Williams, Paul Gavin, Georgia Wilson, Mark Bonnici, Samantha Westervelt, Craig Van Flute, and many more.  As for former staff My favourite Viking Magnus Leppaniemi, Ken Silva, Alex Rea, Bux Syed, Victoria Hockley, Jon Vella, Randy Greenback , Simonas Branstovickis, Christian Heinrichs among others. They have all found new employment due to their talent and I consider myself fortunate for knowing them and counting many of them my friends. Outside people/providers , and this list is literally in the hundreds however some notable ones, Lee-Ann Johnston and the team from affiliate insider, Lloyd Levinson of Cooper Levinson, Rob Heller and the team from Spectrum Gaming Capital, Seth Schorr ( downtown Grand) , Joe Lucosky ( Lucosky Brookman) and Seth Farbman ( vstock transfer), Elliot ( sorry Elliot you have always been Elliot the affiliate guy :-)), Ernie Stevens III (IGEA), Paul Cooney, Heather Blair ( CEA), Ian Smith ( ESIC), Ari Fox ( CEC) , Anthony Gaud ( G3), Michael Crawford ( HOFV)  and the good people at the DGE Any many more.     Whether you are seeking advice or services these are the first people you should reach out to. There are hundreds more that should be on this list but it would take too much time to mention them all. Clearly, I will need to make changes here on my profile as I am no longer the CEO and Chairman of EEG, a company I founded and loved. It all started as a simple idea when Ken Silva took me to my first esports Championship, StarCraft Nov 2014 and I have been addicted since. I will miss all of you deeply and I look forward to opportunities where I can again work with you. My most heartfelt thank you to all the above.

There’s nothing sad about this, like death, one’s life is to be celebrated. Congrats on all that was accomplished as now your journey continues. All the best.

Sorry to hear about this, I know you had a serious passion and fire for that business and if the time I spent working with you was anything like the energy you were giving off after I left, then it will be a serious loss for them. Wishing you all the best with whatever you do next as I'm certain it will be another exciting adventure where you can bring your unique and captivating energy to the fore.

A nice message Grant. Remember, “Success is a journey…. Not a destination”. Your trip with EEG has ended. Tomorrow will be a new day and life goes on. Good luck in your future endeavor.
