    I spend a lot of my life on the ocean - kiting above sharks. They are misunderstood and it's important that we stop the merciless practice of 'finning' them. Through MaiTai Global, we funded a project to tag sharks in the BVI that aided in legislation outlawing shark hunting in the area. In collaboration with the University of Miami, I funded the translation of work (research + infographic) they had done into Mandarin Chinese connecting Alzheimers disease with chemicals found in shark fins…

Sir Richard Branson was kind enough to post that on his blog and to bring it to the attention of Yao Ming who's campaign in conjunction with Wild Aid to stop the sale of Shark Fin Soup in China is having impact.
