Menopause is about to have a big mo­ment — at the Su­per Bowl. Astel­las is tak­ing its hot flash­es and night sweats aware­ness cam­paign to Sun­day’s broad­cast.

The 30-sec­ond Astel­las com­mer­cial run­ning dur­ing the game cen­ters on the tech­ni­cal term, va­so­mo­tor symp­toms or VMS, for those com­mon menopause sig­nals. In the ad, ac­tress Carmel­la Ri­ley is a re­porter on the street stop­ping women to ask them “one burn­ing ques­tion,” which is: “What is VMS?”
