🏆 Vestas' Cable-Stayed Rotor (CSR) technology just clinched the gold for Best Innovation at Windpower Monthly's Turbines of the Year Awards! This achievement highlights our dedication to being a trailblazer in renewable energy technology. Our CSR technology, currently undergoing testing at the Høvsøre Test Centre, promises substantial reductions in blade root loads, enhanced rotor modularization, and scalability for the wind industry. Congratulations to thyssenkrupp rothe erde, whom we share the top spot with for their novel pitch bearing unit (PBU). Read more: https://lnkd.in/dCJaHEtY #Innovation #RenewableEnergy #WindPower
Hmm… I Seem to recall I have seen such a solution before …. https://da.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gedsermøllen
As a proud ex-vestas employee I love to see any innovation in wind and renewable energy but come on guys, ‘cable stay rotor technology’ - let’s acknowledge that this has been around since the dawn of wind power.
🌬️💡 Congratulations, Vestas, on the well-deserved gold at Windpower Monthly's Turbines of the Year Awards! 🏆 Your CSR technology breakthrough is a game-changer for the renewable energy sector, showcasing true innovation and commitment to a sustainable future. Exciting times for the wind industry! 🌍💨 #InnovationLeaders #RenewableRevolution #VestasCSR
Congratulations to everyone at Vestas for your well-deserved win in the 'Innovations' category - in addition to winning gold in Windpower Monthly's 'Onshore up to 5.6MW' category earlier this week! http://tinyurl.com/ys8dbjd2
Look up the Windmatic 14S from 1983. But great if the design is still relevant. https://en.wind-turbine-models.com/turbines/552-windmatic-wm-14s-65?picture=ZPKXtn1Zf8l
Congratulations! Keep up the amazing innovations Vestas 👏

4moInteresting solution. How does it compare in analyses of the impact of wind turbines on bird and bat migrations? When the rotor rotates, there is a "blind spot" into which animals can fall. Are there perhaps any studies in this regard?
