We (Dr. Will and Anthony Manuele) have done 109 episodes of The Art of
Move Podcast- a show that sought to seek the 'grand unified theory' of
human movement and biomechanics. It explored ideas about functional
fitness, fascia, feet, and fun stuff that others weren't having in depth
conversations about, from the angles that we wanted to hear people
talking about, but didn't find anywhere else.

We attempted to bridge the gap of the 'in-fighting' in the
alternative/progressive functional fitness space, tried to bring the
innovative methods of coaches and systems to bigger audiences, and
debated, digested, and discussed every angle we could find about the
    subject.

Over the few years we ran the show, we met some incredible people,
interviewed industry leaders, and learned a LOT about the human body
ourselves. Our movement practices and physicality morphed and evolved as
    our perspectives did.

We're both incredibly grateful for everything that we experienced, for
all the connections we made, for all the ways the show helped us
personally upgrade, and of course, all the beautiful messages from the
audience who were taking the journey with us.

As we wrap up this chapter of our personal journeys, we hope you enjoy
this final 'wrap up' episode where we discuss what's next for us
personally, what projects we're going to be working on, and how you can
keep joining us for future conversations about movement and biomech.

This isn't the last we'll be collaborating on shows; Anthony will
continue to produce longform on the Peak Players Podcast, and Will is
livestreaming on many subjects around movement, rehab, biomech and more.
We'll be doing collaborative shows together regularly.

Thank you dearly to everyone who supported the show, sent us feedback,
connected with us personally, gave us suggestions for guests... we love
you, and will forever be grateful for the community that grew around
    this show!

We were joined by one of our most HIGHLY requested guests, Joel Smith of JustFly Performance, and host of the JustFly Performance Podcast.

Our conversation delved deep into the mechanical nuances of movement, and the strategies/philosophies of how to train them therein. With an impressive resume of training professional athletes, and a passion for the biomechanical details of the human body, Joel delighted us with a passionate discussion that went deep in many places.

Elasticity? Progressive overload for functional movement? Body awareness, fascia, and shaking it out? The role of weightlifting and whether or not it can ACTUALLY screw up your movement?

    It's all in there.

By the end of this episode, we hope that you're able to walk away with some practical gold nuggets of information that you can inject directly into YOUR training and movement practice.

In this episode of The Art of Move, Anthony Manuele and Dr. William Rajbar discuss the nature of the mind, of the self, what it means to truly be authentic, and much, much more. Does intent implicate being? Does one's image and ego equate to one's character?

And beyond that... what does all this have to do with movement?
    (Hint: everything and nothing)

Other topics involve persuasion, coaching, metacognition, and how social structures impact our sense of self.

In this episode, Will and I discuss the idea of intent as it pertains to being a driver of movement, then follow-up with a whole tirade of questions about where the origin of intent/consciousness actually arises.

We explore materialism (the brain being a physical system in which consciousness arises) as well as more abstract ideas like the physicality of our system being more of a 'radio receiver' to a larger field of unified consciousness or source.

This is far from a technical episode - more of a philosophical pontification - but we'd love to know your thoughts and where you think our ideas could be more refined by better information (hence why our ideas are 'In-Formation')

Hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did...

Another awesome discussion with Nathan from MovMed, some cool insights on neurokinetics, opportunities for Will and Nate to hash out their different views - a great conversation overall.

Movmed is a sensory first, mechanics second system, training the deeper brain based reflexes in the body as the main priority.

We’re all more athletic and functional on the other side of stress. Movmed helps people identify stress related dysfunctions, with the intention of remodelling the mind/body connection without those internal restrictions. We make professional athletes better at their sport, and the general population feel relief and comfort in their bodies that allows them to better pursue their goals.

Stress related dysfunction can turn to injuries, pain, and limited ranges of motion. With the right change in perception, pain can be reduced to discomfort and motion can improved quickly. Movmed helps identify lacking perception in the nervous system, helping reconstruct our interoception (the ability to sense your internal state), reflex driven behaviours, and parasympathetic performance that our bodies are designed to thrive on.
