Sweetgreen joins the ever-growing panoply of businesses letting go of staff. The company, known for its chicken pesto parm and harvest bowls that will put you out anywhere between $9 and $14, is cutting 5% of its "support center workforce." In addition, it will be relocating to smaller offices to "lower its operating expenses," writes CNBC. Executives cited the lingering reluctance to return to metropolitan hubs as a partial factor in these decisions. Some good news? They noted suburban locations are faring better than their city counterparts.

  • The company lowered its 2022 guidance: Revenue range is now $480 million to $500 million, down from $515 million to $535 million.
  • Shares dove more than 20% in after-hours trading Tuesday.
