Axie Open Manila 2022

📝 Day Zero: Tournament Registration and Check-in

All players are asked to go to Circuit, Makati on November 16th to confirm their spot in the tournament and receive their official tournament lanyards. The venue will be open for casual games and meet & greet’s all day long. Please note that even if you signed up at the Eventbrite link above, you are REQUIRED to check-in physically on Day Zero (Nov 16) in order to secure your slot. If you do not check-in on Day Zero, you may lose your slot if you do not check-in BEFORE 2pm. After 2pm, the tournament will start accepting walk-in registrants.

🔥 Day One: Swiss Rounds

The tournament’s SEVEN swiss format rounds will commence at 10am. (How does the swiss format work?) Players who finish the swiss rounds with a record of 6-1-0 or better will advance to Day Two. Each duel will be a best-of-5 match, with a 60-minute time limit per round. Unfinished matches will be awarded to the player with the most wins at that time.

🏆 Day Two: Championships

Everyone in the top 32 will receive a part of the cash prize pool. On its final day, the tournament matches will be best-of-5 in a single elimination format. In the round of 16, the top seed will be matched against the lowest seed player until we reach the final four. The finals will be played as a best-of-7 on the main stage.
⚠️ All players in the top 32 are required by Philippine law to undertake a urine-based drug test. This will be performed under the supervision of a GAB official at the beginning of Day Two.

1. ALL players must bring ONE government-issued ID (passport, drivers license, UMID, etc).

2. All players must be AT LEAST 18 years old as of the date of registration.

3. All players must provide their personal Axie Infinity USER ID to gain access to the official Axie Esports server.

4. All players are required to submit to the tournament organizers a list of up to 10 axies that intend to use to compete in the games. Players shall only be allowed to use these 10 axies for the duration of the tournament. A violation of this rule shall warrant the Player's immediate DISQUALIFICATION.

5. All players agree to be filmed, photographed, or recorded while at the tournament venue.

6. The tournament will be open axies, all runes and charms unlocked.

7. In the event of disputes, the tournament judge and/or organizing committee will make a ruling at their sole discretion. This ruling will be considered FINAL.

8. For all rounds except for the final, each duel will be a best-of-5 match with a 60-minute time limit per round.

9. For all rounds except for the final, unfinished matches will be awarded to the player with the most wins at that time. In the case of a 2-2 score with no 5th match played, the duel will be considered a DRAW.

10. The finals will be played as a best-of-7 with no time limit.

11. The tournament shall be under the supervision of Games & Amusement Board (GAB) of the Philippines. Players in the top 32 are required by the GAB to take a URINE DRUG TEST on the morning of Nov 18. Players that test positive for drugs will be DISQUALIFIED and INELIGIBLE to receive their cash prize. The tournament organizer will have a licensed physician ready on-site to conduct a medical examination of players in the top 32.

12. All tournament cash prizes are provided by SkyMavis, and will be released to the eligible winners within FOURTEEN (14) working days AFTER the tournament has completed. All cash prizes will be distributed via the Ronin Network as USDC stablecoin. The final exchange rate to be used in computing the final cash prize award shall be determined by the tournament's organizers in their sole discretion.

13. All players are required to observe the highest degrees of personal integrity, honesty, dignity, fairness, and good sportsmanship, and compete in a manner consistent with the best interests of Axie Open Manila and the other players in the tournament.

1. How do I join this tournament?
   All you have to do is register online here, and then check-in on Day Zero (Nov 16 at 10am) at the tournament venue. You will receive your official player lanyard and ID there. There is NO ENTRANCE FEE to join, but you need to be there on Day Zero in order to SECURE your reservation.

2. What kind of axies, runes, or charms can I use?
   This tournament is open to all axies, and all combinations of runes and charms.

3. How do I receive my prize money if I win?
   If you finish in the top 32, the tournament organizers will collect your contact information as well as your drug test results on the morning of Day Two (Nov 18 at 10am). The cash prizes will be released by SkyMavis up to FOURTEEN (14) days after the tournament has completed. The tournament organizers will coordinate with each winner within ONE (1) working day of release. Cash prizes will be issued as USDC through the Ronin network.

4. How do I get to Circuit Makati?
   The easiest way is to use Grab (car ride-sharing) or Angkas (motorcycle ride-sharing). Circuit is a shopping district in the heart of Makati City, and the tournament will be held at its Activity Center. There is convenient access to food and beverages all around the tournament venue.

5. Do I need a ticket to the Philippine Web3 Festival in order to join the tournament?
   No, you don't need a ticket! Tournament entrance is completely free, you just need to reserve a slot fast!

6. Who are the organizers of this tournament?
   Axie Open Manila 2022 is organized by YieldGuildGames, BlockchainSpace, and Circuit Makati, as part of an Esports grant awarded by SkyMavis. It is held under the supervision of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) of the Philippines.
