👋 Good Morfternight!

Aaaand… I am back home in Vienna for a few weeks. Summer is slowly fading into Fall. We still have blue skies and warm temperatures, but the intense heat is finally over.

Yesterday was my birthday.

Somehow I don’t find that exciting anymore; I am not entirely sure why. It’s not related to the growing number of years; I am sure of that. Maybe it’s just the repetition of the ritual.

I have lived 18,994 days so far.

Perhaps I find it odd that we keep celebrating the first one. I may not have accomplished marvelous things yet, but I am pretty confident there are many days when my contribution to the world was more significant than that first.

I mean, I was barely conscious and certainly not in control!

💡 So, it was about the customers all along?

It was, it is, and it always will be.

That is if you are in the business of building products for customers to buy and use. It’s common sense. Generally, when we stray away from the customers’ needs, it’s not because we don’t think they are essential.

It’s because we think we know them too well.

It doesn’t hurt to be reminded now and then about how important it is to talk to customers, and it’s even better when it’s done with humor, like in Talking to your customers: a disruptive Agile framework.

🤖 Let’s talk a bit more about A.I.

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned experimenting with DALL-E.

I wish I had more new pictures to show, but I couldn’t find much time to play with it more. I have stumbled upon two articles in the meantime that give two interesting perspectives on the state and evolution of A.I.

The optimistic view about how “We Need to Talk About How Good A.I. Is Getting and the slightly more cautious “Huge breakthroughs, tiny changes: the next decade of artificial intelligence.”
