Aspecta Announces $3.5 Million Seed Round Funding & Flagship Product Aspecta ID Beta Launch
Aspecta ID, as the first user-centric and developer-focused digital identity solution, initiates its Beta Launch to activate 10,000+ users from 130,000 waiting list signups.
Driven by the long-term mission of revolutionizing data potentials and empowering innovators, Palo Alto headquartered, AI-powered digital identity ecosystem, Aspecta announced its seed round funding totaling $3.5 million.
Aspecta’s seed round funding consists of stage A backed by ZhenFund, MiraclePlus, UpHonest Capital, TSVC, Taihill Venture, and the Y Startup Index in April 2022 and stage B backed by several key investors, such as HashKey Capital, Foresight Ventures, SNZ Holding, and Infinity Ventures Crypto in November 2022. In addition, Aspecta received investments and grants from leading industry partners.
Incubated at Tsai CITY (Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale) in 2022, the founding team of Aspecta comes from Yale University, Tsinghua University, UC Berkeley, McGill University, and other top-tier research institutions and companies. Aspecta team with disruptive AI genes proudly owns 7 patents and papers in the field of AI, including large language models and graph learning algorithms. Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Ex-Chief Scientist at Tinder, Steve Liu is also a member of the founding team and currently serves as the Chief Scientist.
Aspecta ID: AI-generated identity for developers and beyond to demonstrate, document and explore
Aspecta digital identity ecosystem is driven by the user centric product, Aspecta ID, for identity holders to demonstrate technical skills, document achievements, and explore opportunities based on the insights of holders’ web and on-chain data, as well as footprints across third-party applications. With AspectaID, Aspecta envisions an interactive identity ecosystem for individuals and third parties to store, transfer and utilize data across web2 & web3.
By linking accounts across web2 and web3 spaces, such as GitHub, Twitter, and wallet addresses, the Aspecta ID pack offers an AI-generated webpage, soulbound token, and metaverse twins. Aspecta ID holders are able to demonstrate insights regarding 8000+ skills aspects and hundreds of experience spotlights, and document their achievements in third-party applications with Aspecta login. At the same time, Aspecta ID holders could connect with like-minded peers globally and explore exciting opportunities, ecosystems, and applications.
Aspecta ID Beta Launch Kick-Off
As we grow our global community, Aspecta ID has over 130,000 registered waitlist users. By the end of March 2023, Aspecta ID successfully concluded the Alpha launch with 200+ developers from both established technology companies and pioneering start-ups, such as Google and EthSign.
Now, we are back to kick off the Aspecta ID Beta Launch to expand the accessibility to a larger audience — an estimated 10,000+ developers will be able to unlock their Aspecta ID at this stage.

1. Aspecta Ecosystem Integration
Ecosystem integration is one of the most essential parts of Aspecta ID Beta Launch, by which we aim to curate a closed-loop global developer ecosystem through our one-stop solution for various hackathons, hacker houses, incubators, communities, and developer education systems. Aspecta ID aspires to shape a new paradigm for networking, reputation system, and recruiting for the innovator community within its platform.
Selected hackathons collaborate with Aspecta ID in 2023 include ETH Beijing, TreeHacks (by Stanford University), OKX x Google Global Hackathon and MIT Bitcoin Hackathon; hacker houses, incubators, and developer communities working together with Aspecta ID include, Antalpha Labs, ForesightX, ScalingX, EduDAO, Buidler DAO. Meanwhile, Aspecta is working closely with institutions, such as WTF Academy, and Moonshot Commons to facilitate tailor-made developer education courses and systems targeting various ecosystems and developers with Aspecta ID.
