Hello Family,
I’m geeked to share with you that The Prophets has been selected as the September read for Cree Myles’s Black Like We Never Left Book Club, sponsored by BookClub.
Myles, a literary influencer and creator of All Ways Black, hosts the book club, whose purpose is to elevate Black literature. “Whether you enjoy losing yourself in contemporary fiction or exploring the historical implications of authors who shaped Black literature, the club offers a fresh, thought-provoking take on Black stories past and present. Designed like a more traditional book club, Black Like We Never Left features one book each month, breaking up discussion guides and conversations to lead members through their reading experience.”
Previous selections have included: Mateo Askaripour’s Black Buck, bell hooks’s All About Love, Tiphanie Yanique’s Monster in the Middle, and Toni Morrison’s Sula.
