It was so great to see him live on stage again! I have watched it a few times, cranking thru my system.
Hopefully this may lead to a few more future appearances somewhere along the line.

Very cool. Also looks like Jimmy might have been playing some new Sundragon amps. Maybe a new model based on his Marshalls?

Fantastic to see him onstage again!,

He also appeared to be completely at ease and enjoying the moment.

And last but not least, cool that he would step up and do this for someone that early in his life was an inspiration for him to play guitar.

Excellent and appreciated to see/hear this, as I spun JPJ Zooma cd out of the blue…at these moments and surfed Royal Orleans

I just watched the broadcast on Disney. Pretty cool to see Jimmy out there. Happy to see Jimmy in the flesh and playing out. Sounded and looked good. Interesting seeing him play the song on 12 strings.

Has anyone mentioned the applause? The song ends at what I'll say is 2:55:10, Elton is announced shortly after and then there seems to be some nods between jimmy and Elton, the crowd seems to have taken note. Then Elton doesn't start with his "yep?" until 2:56:36 looking to the right where the stage is. Lol bit of extra applause with the audience appreciating the two Brits. =D>

Was that through cable? It's definitely not on the Disney+ app.

It’s on the Disney+ channel, just watched the induction of Link Wray- Jimmy really did look happy!

Yeah I was just watching the broadcast replay from Disney+. Just seemed the time from Rumble ending to Elton starting his speech for Bernie, seems to have a nice bit of applause between segments starting.

Here's a fan shot of Elton coming out. The applause might all be for him but pretty sure Jimmy was still standing on the stage and Elton looked over at him before starting with his Ok:

Here's one catching both men:

I noticed that right away. Elton just let the crowd cheer Jimmy for a bit, knowing that we may never see him perform on stage again.

Thanks for this - they even managed to duplicate the same botched up bassline as Link's '58 recording

That was the one that came out around the time of the Met exhibition, modeled after Jimmy Supro he used on the first album.

The new ones are a head and cabinet modeled after his Marshall, called the Super Dragon. They have only just started production and haven’t taken preorders yet (that I know of)

Oh, so these will cost even more than 12k then if it's the head and a larger cabinet. What do you think the price will be?

They haven’t set a price yet, but I wouldn’t doubt if it’s closer to 20k. The first 50 of the first Sundragon and Super Dragon are all hand built by Mitch Colby w/ nos parts, including nos tubes. Those are all tested and signed by Page. The first combo amp also had a regular version for just under 4K (another 1k for nos tubes and some other nos parts)

I’ve seen 2-3 of the first limited edition sundragons come up for resale/auction. All going for close to 20K

Here’s one . https://themusicemporium.com/products/s ... -used-2019

Jimmy's in the trailer for the ABC R&RHOF show tonight, so I suppose his performance will be in the show.

I'm just seeing this a month and a half later, but I'm thinking for that they used different camera angles than were initially broadcast (I don't recall any close-ups of Anton Fig), and it definitely sounds like they sent the guitar through some sort of processing.

Unfortunately, the video that had been embedded in here is no longer available for a better comparison.

Gibson just dropped a ultra vague YouTube video announcing some sort of Page collaboration.

"Gibson x Jimmy Page: the collaborative partnership you've been waiting for.

Be the first to know: https://bit.ly/3Iakoda

As part of the celebrations of the new #GibsonGarageLondon, we are excited to announce that Gibson has entered a collaborative partnership with one of the most influential musicians in history, Jimmy Page. An icon across all genres of music, art, and culture, and as co-founder of one of the biggest bands of all time, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy leveraged his blues and folk inspirations, and artistry to develop the pioneering rock sound that became the signature of the band. Being the main music writer in Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page has forever impacted the sound of music, and pioneered the sound of rock across all its variations.

“When I met with Cesar and he explained what the future of Gibson looked like, I knew I needed to be involved. There is a spirit in the place; after seeing the people working at the factories and getting a connection with them, I knew that picking up that Les Paul Custom and the Doubleneck all those years ago was certainly the right decision.” - Jimmy Page"

Have no idea what the Gibson garage London is?!?!

Edit: apparently, it's a Gibson only brand guitar shop that just opened off London's Oxford St. Jimmy did the official ribbon cutting this past Saturday night.
