Notice anything missing in 2024 RNC logo? Check Wisconsin's thumb.

The Republican National Committee released its logo for the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, July 15-18, 2024.

Republicans get just about everything right in their logo they unveiled this week for next year's national nominating convention in Milwaukee.

They spell out Milwaukee in blue, have their elephant mascot headed to the right and include five stars for the grassroots and for impeccable service visitors will receive.

There is just one teeny tiny mistake.

Part of the Door County Peninsula is missing from the outline of the Badger State.

Look closely and you can tell the state's noted thumb looks a little small, like it was lopped off at around Sturgeon Bay.

"It definitely doesn't go up as far as it should," state Rep. Joel Kitchens of Sturgeon Bay said after being asked by the Journal Sentinel to take a look at the logo.

"They cut off probably half," he said. "That's what it looks like to me."

The chief communications officer for Destination Door County took the error in stride.

"Appreciate you looking out for Door County!" Jon Jarosh said in an email. "For years, Wisconsin maps of all types have shown a variety of configurations for the Door Peninsula and our surrounding islands, with some being more representative than others. But we’re still there, and all is good."

Door County's surrounding islands and the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior aren't included in the logo as well.

The Republican National Committee had no immediate comment.

But there's still plenty of time to make updates.

The convention will be held July 15-18, 2024.
