PARIS, Feb 20 (Reuters) - German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock told Chinese diplomats last week that China is responsible for ensuring world peace and must not ship any weapons or so-called dual-use goods to Russia, she said on Monday.

Speaking to journalists in Brussels, Baerbock said she had raised the issue during the Munich Security Conference last week.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Saturday warned top Chinese diplomat Wang Yi of consequences should China provide material support to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, saying in an interview after the two met that Washington was concerned Beijing was considering supplying weapons to Moscow.

China hit back at the U.S. on Monday. Responding to a question at a regular daily briefing, foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said, "the United States is in no position to make demands of China." (Reporting by Tassilo Hummel; editing by Jonathan Oatis)
