Entertainment Talent Scout

We are looking for a charismatic talent scout to source and acquire talented content creators for our brand called BlackON. In this role, you will be required to define talent requirements, develop recruitment and marketing strategies, and engage with potential content creators through social media and face-to-face meetings.

BlackON is a broadcasting and media production brand under the ownership of KR Group Corporation. It serves as a platform dedicated to African entertainment, offering a variety of content created by African artists, creators, producers and athletes. The platform aims to support and reward African talent. It’s important to visit brand’s official website to learn more about how it works, the content creators it accepts and the African countries where they should come from.

To be a successful talent scout, you should possess a keen eye for talent and excellent communication skills. A skilled talent scout should have excellent marketing and networking skills and be highly engaging, not to forget you must have an entertainment media background in either movies, sports, music, travel or comedy.

Talent Scout Responsibilities:

• Introducing BlackON to local content creators.
• Attending entertainment events to identify content creators and network with production companies.
• Sourcing talented content creators through a variety of communication channels including social and print media.
• Developing entertainment networks and maintaining relationships with local content creators.
• Establishing initial contact and engaging with talented content creators in-person and online.
  
  
  

Talent Scout Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or similar.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the entertainment industry. Proof will be required.
• Sound knowledge of BlackON and its benefits to content creators.
• Excellent marketing and networking abilities.
• Highly engaging with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work long hours and on the weekends.
