Rebuild the Temple in the Tribulation? - Part 1

The original site of the Temple is uncertain

Are there any clear-cut Scriptures that prophesy that the Jews will rebuild the Temple in the Tribulation? No.

To begin with, the site of the Temple is contentious.

Most scholars place the Temple on the Temple Mount (the big rectangle with three sides in red)  near the Dome of the Rock (marked with a D). But a large Rock would not be on the threshing floor that David bought for the Temple site.

Threshing floors have to be flat surfaces to beat the grain out of the chaff.

The only water stream in all this area is shown in blue, joining the spring of Gihon with the Pool of Siloam.

Other scholars place the original Temple site further south near the Gihon spring (the small red square). This is the only water source anywhere near the present Temple Mount.

The Temple needed water.

PSALM 87:5   And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.

PSALM 87:7   As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there:

all my springs are in thee.

David’s psalm associates Zion with springs.

NEHEMIAH 2:15     Then went I up in the night by the brook, and viewed the wall, and turned back, and entered by the gate of the valley, and so returned.

There was a brook or stream near the wall that Nehemiah was to build when he rebuilt the wall of Jerusalem.

NEHEMIAH 3:7   And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, unto the throne of the governor on this side the river.

Once again a river is associated with the wall that Nehemiah was building and repairing.

So if the Temple is rebuilt in the 3.5 years of great Tribulation, would the modern Temple Mount  be the right place?

There are doubts on that issue.

Josephus the historian claims that the Romans entirely demolished Jerusalem’s walls. As Jesus prophesied that they would. Yet 10000 stone blocks surround the Temple Mount. Thus many scholars believe that the Temple Mount was where the Romans built their huge Fort Antonia that housed the 5000 men of the 10^th Legion as well as their 5000 helpers. Josephus said that the Fort was a city within a city. Holding 10000 men required space.

That implies that those walls remained standing because they had nothing to do with the Temple, but were useful to the protection of the Roman army.

You must form your own opinion.

In 1067 there was a major earthquake.  25000 died and the topography of that area changed. The Gihon spring becomes bitter.

I KINGS 1:38   So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon.

:39   And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon.

Solomon was anointed king at Gihon. So the Gihon spring was a special place for him.

Many Jewish Orthodox people believe that Messiah must rebuild the Temple, not the Jews.

ZECHARIAH 6:12   And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:

Jesus is seen in Revelation in the midst of the 7-branched candlestick representing the 7 church ages.

Nazareth comes from the word "Netzer" that means the "Place of the Branch".

So Jesus, as the Branch, brings forth the 7 church ages that is God's spiritual Temple or Tabernacle.

:13     Even he shall build the temple of the LORD;

and he shall bear the glory,

and shall sit and rule upon his throne;

and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

:15     And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD,

and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.

Jesus will build the Temple, but this sounds far more like the Millennium Temple that Ezekiel speaks of.

Jesus will build a Temple for the 1000 years of peace, but no Scripture says that He will build a Temple in the 3.5 years of great Tribulation.

When the Lord returns to the Jews at the end of great Tribulation, there will be a massive earthquake as the Mount of Olives splits in half.
ZECHARIAH 14:4   And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and

the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west,

and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

The Mount of Olives is shown in green, after it has split in half after the earthquake.

Jerusalem is shown as a faint yellow rectangle between the two blue rivers that go out from it. Any Temple built near the Mount of Olives, which is where the Temple Mount is, is unlikely to survive the time of great Tribulation.

In their attempts to find a Scripture to justify the rebuilding of the Temple some people refer to Acts Chapter 15.

ACTS 15:14   Simeon [Simon Peter] hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

:15     And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

:16     After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down;

and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

David brought the tabernacle into Jerusalem where it remained until Solomon built the Temple.

But David had a tabernacle which was a tent, not a Temple.

The following sketch shows how the tabernacle was laid out.

Simon Peter on the Day of Pentecost began to rebuild the spiritual tabernacle of God.

He pointed to the crucified Saviour. The tabernacle was laid out in the form of a cross.

ACTS 2:38   Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

:39     For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Notice the three steps of Peter. Repentance starts at the foot of the cross. Represented by the altar of sacrifice.

Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.  The laver of water.

Receive the Holy Ghost.  The person enters the Holy Place.

In there are a seven-branched candlestick and a table of 12 loaves of shewbread.

God’s plan of salvation for the Gentiles during the seven church ages and then for the 12 tribes of Israel in the 3.5 years of great Tribulation.

Once the 144000 Jews come in, God’s plan will be complete and His spiritual tabernacle will be finished that He has been rebuilding during the seven church ages.

None of this required the existence of a physical Jewish Temple.

Peter’s key to Heaven was based on repentance, water baptism, and the Spirit baptism.

That would be open to everyone all over the world. One American astronaut found salvation by faith in Jesus during his trip to the moon and back. You do not need a physical Jewish Temple to get saved. The first man to get saved, the thief on the cross, was not in the Temple and would not have been allowed into the Temple.

So rebuilding the tabernacle has nothing to do with rebuilding the Temple in great Tribulation.

ACTS 7:45   Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;

Joshua was called Jesus. He led the Jews into the Promised Land and began the process of conquering the Gentiles who lived in the Promised Land. This conquering continued until the days of David who defeated the Philistines.

[Joshua. Yehoshua or Yeshua in Hebrew corresponds to Iesous in Greek which is Iesus in Latin and Jesus in English].

ACTS 7:46   Who found favour before God,

and [David] desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.

ACTS 7:47   But Solomon built him an house.

ACTS 7:48   Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

David desired God's tabernacle.

Solomon built a house or Temple but God does not dwell in human-built temples.

God actually wants to live in born-again human hearts.

II CORINTHIANS 5:1   For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Paul compares our human body to a tabernacle that must be dissolved in death. Our true tabernacle is thus in Heaven.

HEBREWS 8:1   Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

:2   A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

The true tabernacle is not built by humans. It is pitched by Jesus, in human hearts.

HEBREWS 9:11   But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

No human building on earth at the moment can be the real tabernacle.

HEBREWS 13:10   We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

Serving God in a physical tabernacle achieves nothing. Our hearts have to be right with God.

REVELATION 13:6    And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

And he opened his mouth and blasphemed God, (and "teaching for doctrine the commandments of men; heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure; having a form of godliness, denying the Power thereof")... and blasphemed his name, (Took "Father, Son, and Holy Ghost" instead of the "Lord Jesus Christ." )

his tabernacle...

(which is the Holy Spirit's dwelling place, to make it a place in Rome, a Vatican city;

you can just go on down)... and them that dwell in heaven. (blasphemed them by saying they were intercessors)

Blasphemed the dead saints by calling them intercessors. This is just the pagan ancestor worship in a new disguise.

The tabernacle of the Holy Spirit is the born-again hearts of men and women. Rome falsely claims that the tabernacle of God is the Vatican.

Making a physical building the tabernacle of God is blasphemy.

God only wants to dwell in human hearts.

REVELATION 15:5   And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

The true Tabernacle and Temple are in Heaven.

Thus no Temple that the Jews may build in the Tribulation could in any way be the building where God dwells.

Catholics think that the Vatican is the Temple of God

II THESSALONIANS 2:3   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

:4     Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped;

so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Is this the rebuilt Temple in the 3.5 years of great Tribulation? No. It is the Vatican.

… the pope right there in the Vatican… He opposes himself above all that's called God, all the godly men. He's the holiest of all them. Sets in the temple of God just showing himself he is God, forgiving sins on earth and so forth, you know. Sure.

But that prince that would stand up, that would cause the abomination to make desolation, that was Rome through Titus; and this time it's a prince coming out of Rome that'll do it. … Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,... ("We are the greatest church." "We have this; we have this. All of you consolidate together." See? "We are the greatest.")... lying wonders,

THE SEVENTIETH WEEK OF DANIEL

But that who's confederated, that organization moved right on down, and even the power of those prophets didn't break it. And finally they said, "We'll make it all one organization," and he brings in (What is it?) the abomination, Romanism, to overspread the whole thing that makes desolation. The abomination that maketh desolation takes in everything, the filthiness.

The earliest reference to the Antichrist being involved in the rebuilt Temple comes from a Roman Catholic priest.

Martin Luther identified the Pope as the Antichrist around 1520.

Francisco Ribera, a  Roman Catholic Jesuit, in 1590 published a book to say that the Antichrist would rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. This was done to oppose the Protestant viewpoint that the Pope was the Antichrist.

So Ribera began the idea of rebuilding the Temple in the Tribulation.

There are  1.4 billion Catholics who think that the Vatican is the temple of God.

Their Pope has a title Vicarius Christi which the Pope has used since around the year 1200. It means “in the place of Christ”. So the Pope sits in the Vatican "as God", because he thinks that he is "in the place of Christ" (Who is God), and thinks that he can forgive sins. Thus the Pope sitting in the Vatican and forgiving sins fulfills this Scripture.

Pope Urban II in 1095 granted indulgences, the forgiveness of sin, to those going on Crusades to kill Muslims and re-conquer Jerusalem. Again, the idea of the Pope being able to forgive sins.

Indulgences built what was then the biggest church in the world, St Peters in the Vatican. Around 1515 Tetzel, the agent of Pope Leo, was sent to sell indulgences that could even forgive the sins of dead people and get them out of purgatory if people  paid enough money. Purgatory (very unscriptural) was invented by the Pope.

The Pope, taking the place of God, declared a new doctrine that when a person died they went to purgatory in order to be punished for their sins. Indulgences could get people out of purgatory according to the Pope. In 1517 Martin Luther objected because if the Pope had enough authority to get people out of purgatory, why must he be paid to do so? Why not just let everybody out because of Christian love?

The church claims a human head is needed to save us

After all, a complete indulgence removes all the temporal punishment due for the sins committed up to that time.

A plenary indulgence (full indulgence) can depend on, say, the recitation of the rosary in a church or family group. Part of the rosary is a Hail Mary. The Popes invented the unscriptural rosary and the unscriptural Hail Mary prayer

which is a prayer for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. (As if people can pray to Mary. That is spiritualism, communing with the dead).

The Hail Mary says “Holy Mary Mother of God,  pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death”. (This makes Mary an intercessor between you and God. Jesus is the only intercessor. God is a Spirit and was never born as God is eternal. So Mary is not the Mother of God.)

The Pope tells you how to get your sins forgiven by giving you the unscriptural rosary and Hail Mary to repeat, and thus claiming that he has got your sins forgiven.

In 1302 Pope Boniface VIII  made a law for salvation called Unam Sanctam which basically says:

"You have to belong to the Catholic church to be saved and have to recognize the position of the Pope as supreme head of the Church. People have a duty to be in submission to the Pope in order to belong to the Church and thus to attain salvation".

So your salvation depends on your obedience to the Pope because the Pope takes Christ’s place as the head of the church.

EPHESIANS 5:23   Christ is the head of the church:

Catholics thus feel that if they are saved they can only keep their salvation by belonging to their church.

Protestants have also begun to believe this. They fear for their salvation if they disagree with the pastor or leave the church. Protestants now regard the pastor as the head of the church. This is unscriptural as the word "pastors" is only mentioned once in the New Testament, and condemned 6 times in the Old Testament. There are now 45000 different denominations and types of churches. Each one is claimed to be right, despite their differences. This makes a complete desolation of the Gospel because your salvation from hell depends only on your personal experience with Jesus and has got nothing to do with any man or any church.

But we also have to be saved from the coming Tribulation.  That depends upon your faith in the revealed Word of God.

If saved Christians reject the truth of Scripture then they will be straightened out in the Tribulation and come up in the general resurrection at the end of the Millennium. Not knowing the mysteries of the Bible, that the end time prophet revealed, simply means that we will miss the Rapture when the church is caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

Dante, a firm Roman Catholic, in his poem “The Inferno”, condemns Pope Boniface VIII by placing him within the circles of Fraud, down in the lowest depths of hell.

In 1305 Clement V became Pope and established the Triple Crown to show that he ruled Heaven, Earth, and Purgatory.

REVELATION 9:1   And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

ISAIAH 14:12   How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer,

REVELATION 9:2     And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

:3     And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

John the Revelator uses the destructive power of locusts to describe the demonology that has taken over the organized denominational  Roman Catholic church under its human leader and dictator, the Pope. These spirits then invaded the Protestant and non-Catholic churches to organize man-made denominational traditions under their human leaders where pastors rule like mini dictators as each one imposes his own opinion or the denomination’s opinion on the people. People no longer build their beliefs on what is written in the Bible.

REVELATION 9:11   And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

An angel is a messenger. A messenger from the bottomless pit of religious deception. A king. A crowned religious ruler. The Pope has worn a crown since about AD 860 when Pope Nicholas I was crowned. This was done so that he could claim to be equal to other crowned kings.

Soon after 1305 this became the triple crown.

Look at this awful description of the mother church, the Roman Catholic church which is the oldest organized denomination, and her Protestant daughters that came out of her.

REVELATION 17:1    And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

REVELATION 17:5   And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

A woman symbolizes a church. The true church is the Bride of Christ. Christ is the Husband of the church.

A harlot is a woman who is unfaithful to her husband. The Husband of the church is the Word of God.

These churches thrive on unscriptural doctrines and traditions.

Modern day churches, being spiritual harlots, fool around with man-made doctrines as they misinterpret Scripture.

The Caelian hill has the Lateran basilica (big church) and palace which is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic church.

The Roman Catholic church claims to be the mother church.

This is written on the Lateran church.

"Sacred Lateran church. Mother and head of all the churches of the city and the world".

The church systems, infiltrated by demonology, are subject to unscriptural religious deception, political power and influences, and money power. These three spirits unite to introduce Death to all those who cannot understand the revealed mysteries of Scripture that were made known by the seventh angel or messenger. The church-goers preferred to listen to the angel or messenger from the bottomless pit where endless new distortions of the Bible keep emerging.

Demonology was ruled by a crowned religious king. The Pope wore a single crown from the days of Pope Nicholas I, about AD 860, which became a triple crown under Pope Clement V who was elected in 1305. Thus the Pope was the triple-crowned king until Pope Paul VI was crowned in 1963 and then mysteriously stopped wearing the triple crown. 1963 was the year that six of the seven Seals were revealed by William Branham, which brought out into the open the ride of the Antichrist spirits through the seven church ages. This exposure made the Popes scared to wear the triple crown. But Popes had worn a crown for over 1100 years.

1290 days to the Abomination that makes desolate

Jesus died in AD 33. God tore up the Temple veil when Jesus died. At that moment the Law with its sacrifices ceased. All Jewish sacrifices were meaningless compared to the sacrifice of Jesus. Then the Temple was destroyed by Rome.

REVELATION 11:2   But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

:3   And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

A score is 20. The 1260 days are called 42 months. Thus each Bible month is 30 days.

Bible years were 12 x 30 = 360 days.

Our Gentile years are 365.24 days.

So every 70 Bible years we will have 69 years which is one less Gentile year.

Our year is 5.24 days longer.  Thus 69 years is  69 x 5.24 =   361 days longer which is basically an extra Bible year.

1290 Jewish years equals 1290 / 70 = 18 fewer Gentile years.

1290 – 18 = 1272 Gentile years

So 1272 Gentile years after the death of Jesus, which happened in AD 33 and finished the Old Testament sacrifices, the Roman Pope was established as a triple-crowned king of the bottomless pit.

The Pope claimed to be king of Heaven, earth, and purgatory. This authority enabled him to unleash the spirits of religious deception on the Catholic church. These spirits would later infiltrate the future Protestant churches when they were established and organized as denominations (an unscriptural word). Rome was the first denominational organization and thus mother of the later Protestant denominations.

1272 + 33 = 1305

In 1305 a Pope, Clement V, was elected. He was the first man to wear a triple crown representing his rule over Heaven, earth, and purgatory. This triple crown enabled him to claim that he was superior to kings who wore a single crown. By claiming that he ruled Purgatory he also had control over its demonology. According to the Catholic hierarchy, people had to obey the Pope if they wanted to be saved.

A Pope can also make up doctrines and get the churches to believe these man-made traditions as if they are Scripture.  Consider the following unscriptural ideas that Catholics believe and which the Protestants later also believed.

"Christmas. 25 December. Christmas tree.  Remembering  Christ’s birth".

"The wise men going to the stable when Jesus was born". (They went into a house and saw a young Child).

MATTHEW 2:11   And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother,

"Good Friday". If Jesus died on Friday afternoon and rose on Sunday morning then He spent two nights in the earth, Friday night, and Saturday night, not three nights.

MATTHEW 12:40   For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

All these church traditions are unscriptural. The Protestants copied them from the Roman Catholics and regard them as being the Word of God.

Thus the Pope’s word is regarded as being above God’s Word.

It is the same with the unscriptural word Trinity. Look at all the unscriptural expressions to explain Trinity.

"God the Son. God the Holy Ghost. Three Persons in the Godhead. Three-in-one.  Of the same essence. First Person of the Godhead. Second Person of the Godhead. Third Person of the Godhead. Father and Son are co-equal".

All these are unscriptural ideas. But the various Popes declared them to be the Word of God. And the Protestants follow the Catholics. As well as "Easter eggs, Easter rabbits, Lent, church steeples, archbishops" etc.

The Pope’s unscriptural beliefs are now regarded as the Word of God.

Thus the Pope sits in the Vatican showing himself to be God as churches believe these unscriptural doctrines rather than being strictly Scriptural.

MATTHEW 24:15   When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

This is a difficult verse to understand. It is easy to get it wrong.

The Holy Place was in the Temple in Jerusalem.

The abomination that makes desolation is the antichrist Babylonian pagan spirit that was ruled by their high priest or Pontiff. This awful pagan spirit was started by Nimrod.

The large Persian empire enabled the Babylonian Pontiff  to settle in Pergamos in Asia Minor and unite with the pagan mysteries of Egypt.  Then they absorbed the clever pagan philosophy of Greece.

Then this religious abomination entered pagan Rome and Julius Caesar became Pontiff. Each pagan Roman emperor thus became Pontiff.

Vespasian was declared Roman emperor in AD 69 and told his son Titus to conquer Jerusalem. The Romans began to surround the city in AD 70. The Jews and Christians had to get out fast because in 3 days the Romans built an earth wall around Jerusalem. Anyone who tried to escape after that was caught and crucified. Up to 500 people were killed every day.

The Romans then captured the city and entered the Temple (standing in the Holy Place) which they burned down and demolished until no stones were left on top of each other. The gold in the Temple melted and molten gold ran down into the cracks between the stone blocks. The Romans threw down the stones to get at this gold. So much gold was removed from the Temple that the price of gold in Syria lost half of its value.

Thus pagan Rome was the abomination that made the Temple desolate.

This desolation had begun when in AD 33 the Jews forced the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate, to kill Jesus.  That ended their Law.

The high priest was not allowed to tear his clothes.

LEVITICUS 21:10   And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

Then Caiaphas the high priest tore his clothes as he condemned Jesus.

MATTHEW 26:65   Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy;

That ended the Law.

Then Pontius Pilate gave his unjust judgement. An innocent Man was whipped and crucified.

Justice became desolate.

God recognized the end of the Law by tearing up the Temple veil when Jesus died in AD 33.

MATTHEW 27:50   Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

:51     And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;

From then on all Temple sacrifices were invalid. The Law had lost its meaning when Messiah was rejected. The only value that the Law had was when the Law pointed towards  Christ and was fulfilled in His ministry and His Presence in the believers during the seven church ages, as well as the 144000 Jews in the 3.5 years of great Tribulation.

Then the Temple, which was just an empty shell without the Spirit of God in the Holiest of Holies, was demolished 37 years later by the Romans and their Arab allies.

By around AD 380 the bishop of Rome Damasus took over the title Pontiff. Thus the mysteries of Babylon entered the Roman Catholic church which made it Mystery Babylon.

The barbarians destroyed the Roman empire in AD 476. Then the Roman Catholic church slowly rose up on the ruins of the pagan Roman empire and married Christianity with paganism, which made the church desolate of truth.

These human denominational opinions and traditions then infiltrated the Protestant churches that came out of the mother Roman Catholic church after the Reformation that started in 1520.

The covenant is confirmed so it must be previously made

This is the main Scripture that church-goers claim as evidence for a 7 year Tribulation.

DANIEL 9:27   And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,

“He” is claimed to be the antichrist. They say that he will have power for 7 years.

“Confirm the covenant”.

This is changed by church-goers to become “make a covenant”.

But a covenant has to be made before it is confirmed.

But there is no Scripture where the Antichrist makes a covenant with the Jews before he confirms it for 7 years.

Thus some claim that the Antichrist will confirm the covenant that God made with Abraham.

But you cannot confirm a covenant that somebody else made.

You can only confirm a covenant that you have made.

But a covenant that is confirmed cannot be broken.

The Antichrist cannot break a covenant that he confirms.

In addition,

God confirmed the covenant He made with Abraham in Christ, when Christ died.

GALATIANS 3:17   And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ,

When Christ died, God tore up the Temple veil and that ended the Temple sacrifice and oblation.

Let us look at Abraham’s covenant and see how God confirmed it 2300 Jewish years after Abraham’s son Isaac was born.

DANIEL 8:14   And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

GENESIS 15:18   In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

God’s covenant with Abraham was about what God would give his seed. Abraham’s natural seed would conquer the Promised Land of Israel.

This covenant started with the birth of Isaac, his promised son.

Isaac, the natural seed, spoke of a greater promise which was Abraham's spiritual Seed, Christ. He would conquer Death, Hell, and the Grave and thereby win us Eternal Life.

GENESIS 15:9    And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

Always three.

When the New Testament truth was lost in the Dark Ages (AD 606 – 1520) then God used three church ages to restore the original Bible truth.

The fifth age of Sardis (the escaped ones) where Martin Luther in Germany restored salvation by faith.

The sixth age of Philadelphia (brotherly love) where John Wesley in England restored holiness and outreach to lay the foundation for the missionary age.

The seventh age of the Laodiceans where Pentecostal power was restored in Azusa Street in Los Angeles and then William Branham between 1947 and 1965, used a tape recorder to reveal the mysteries of the written Word and thus take us back or restore us to the beliefs of the first church age.

Since 1966 we have been living in the "days of the VOICE of the seventh angel" where the mystery of God is the return of the last church to the beliefs and understanding of the first church. This mystery SHOULD be finished if people learned to build their beliefs on Scripture like the first church did. But the emphasis is on interpreting quotes into unscriptural doctrines. Thus few people actually know what the Bible really means in many places. Meanwhile God is waiting for us to prove our beliefs from the King James Version of the Bible.

REVELATION 10:7   But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Abraham’s covenant with natural animals was fulfilled in the Sacrifice of Christ at Calvary which confirmed the covenant that God made with Abraham.

The female heifer and she goat symbolize the church (the Bride of Christ) that should have died for their sins but was spared by the death of Christ on our behalf.

NUMBERS 19:2   This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:

NUMBERS 19:3   And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:

Some man killed the heifer in front of the high priest.

Pontius Pilate gave Christ the death sentence in front of the high priest Caiaphas.

NUMBERS 19:4   And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:

The Blood of Jesus would save the church during seven different church ages, spread over 2000 years of church history.

NUMBERS 19:5   And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:

NUMBERS 19:9   And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.

The ashes speak of fire as a reminder of Christ’s time in the fires of hell as He conquered Satan and his demonic horde. His sacrifice alone can purify us and separate us from sin.

NUMBERS 19:12   He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.

The third day represents the third church age (AD 312 to AD 606) where sin and unbelief took over the church.

The unscriptural Trinity doctrine entered the church at the Council of Nicaea in AD 325. Water baptism in three titles instead of the name of Jesus Christ became official. There is no single name for the Trinity God. So God lost His name. The church got involved in politics and wealth. The church got married to paganism and worldliness with the unscriptural Catholic Christmas (Christ’s mass) on an unscriptural 25 December (the birthday of the sun god) with an unscriptural Christmas tree (which Jeremiah warned us against in Chapter 10) as well as Easter eggs and Easter bunnies. If these and other faults are not removed from the church, then at the end time when the seventh church age finishes, the church-goers will not be cleansed from their unbelief and will miss the Rapture. Believing these errors will simply make them unable to be Scriptural.

A goat was used to carry away sin.

LEVITICUS 16:8   And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

:9   And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD'S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.

:10   But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

Two goats were needed.  One goat was killed to atone for sin and the other scapegoat carried the sins of Israel far away. One goat in Abraham’s covenant meant that Christ did both tasks by Himself. The Jews had to choose (or cast lots) between Jesus and Barabbas. Jesus was killed for us on Calvary. Then He carried our sins far away down to hell to dump them on the Devil and conquer Sin, Hell, Satan, and Death.

A ram took the place of Isaac as the sacrifice. A ram symbolizes the coming of Jesus to take our place and die for our sins.

The turtle dove and pigeon that were not separated represent the salvation and healing that cannot be separated from the death of Christ. If He died to save us then He also died to heal us.

GENESIS 15:10   And he [Abram] took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.

Each animal was cut in half. The two halves were laid facing each other.

This represents the two portions of the Bible. The Old Testament and the New Testament.  They face each on either side of the four Gospels that describe the ministry of Christ. The four Gospels join the Old and the New Testaments together.

GENESIS 15:11   And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.

The real truth of the revealed Scripture is for end-time eagles. The prophet’s message that reveals the Bible mysteries chases away the denominational fowls that lodge as leaders in the high up branches of the organized churches.

MATTHEW 13:31   Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

:32     Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

This third parable in Matthew Chapter 13 represents the third church age.

Wealth and political power saw the Roman Catholic church grow into a huge religious organization. Ambitious men were elevated to high-up unscriptural offices like Pope, Cardinal, Metropolitan, Archbishop etc.  The birds high up in the branches were the same fowls from the first parable, or first church age, that gobbled up the seeds of God’s Word so that the Word could not grow in the people’s hearts. Church leaders feel threatened by revealed truth. They keep the people ignorant of many portions of Scripture. Scripture reveals the many unscriptural aspects of church beliefs and traditions.

MATTHEW 13:4   And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

So people, after getting saved by believing in Jesus, then submit themselves to some church and only believe those church traditions. They obey the church leaders, rather than obeying the Bible.

Sadly, there are 45000 different kinds of denominational and non-denominational churches. So a lot of error has crept into the church systems. Church leaders are leading many astray.

GENESIS 15:12   And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

Evening time. The sun was going down. The evening time message at the end of the seventh church age.  A deep sleep symbolizes death and the horror of the dark pit of hell.

Jesus, in the parable of the ten virgins, warned that they were all fast asleep. A virgin is a clean woman, symbolizing a saved church. So at the end all the churches, wise or foolish, Spirit-filled or not, are fast asleep. The Gospel sun is setting as the church-goers get saved but then believe more and more unscriptural ideas. The Light fades.

MATTHEW 25:5   While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

GENESIS 15:17   And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

Smoke. Where there is smoke there is fire. The furnace of hell fire. We are all sinners who will die and go to hell.

But there is hope. A lighted lamp that moved  between the two Testaments.

Jesus, as the Scapegoat, carried our sins down to hell and dumped them on the Devil.

This won Eternal Life for us so that we could live eternally in the true Promised Land.

God’s Promise is His Holy Spirit. God’s Land is the Word of God.

ACTS 2:38   Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

:39    For the promise is unto you and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

God’s natural covenant was for each Jew, natural Israel, to be able to live for about 70 years in the Promised Land of Israel.

God confirmed this covenant in Christ’s sacrifice whereby each born again person, spiritual Israel, can be guided into the full truth of Scripture by the Holy Ghost and thus be ready for the Coming of the Lord Jesus in order to be caught up to Heaven in a glorified body.

JOHN 16:13   Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:

The King James Version of the Bible is God’s truth.

This great covenant was made with Abraham more than 1000 years before the Temple was built.

The covenant was made hundreds of years before Moses was given the Law.

Thus the covenant between God and Abraham had nothing to do with the Law or the Temple.

The covenant was only confirmed at Calvary when God tore up the Temple veil and thus ended the Law. Calvary was outside the Temple. The Temple priesthood had rejected Jesus.

Then Christ went down as a burning lamp of Light and spent three nights in the depths of the earth where he conquered Satan, Sin, and Hell. Then He rose in the resurrection to conquer Death and the Grave. So Jesus had to die late on Thursday afternoon if He was to be in the grave for three nights and then rise on Sunday morning.

MATTHEW 12:40   For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

The churches have got the wrong day because they copied the Roman Catholic unscriptural “good Friday”.

Friday was named after Freya, the female goddess of love. The Roman church is pictured as a woman riding on a beast in Revelation Chapter 17, so it suited them to choose a day dedicated to a woman for the death of Christ.

Friday is the sixth day of the week. Six is the number of man. Man has sin in his life and thus cannot reach completion which is 7. Thursday is the fifth day of the week and five is the number of grace. When God’s grace caught John up to Heaven in Revelation Chapter 4, the first vision he saw was God’s throne surrounded by four beasts. These five, by undeserved grace, guided the church through its 2000 years of history.

So the covenant was made long before the Law and the Temple.

Thus the covenant that God made with Abraham had nothing to do with the Temple.

The only Temple involved in our salvation was the Temple of the physical Body of Jesus.

JOHN 2:19   Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

:20     Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

:21     But he spake of the temple of his body.

The Jewish Temple was the high point of the Law as it awaited the coming of Messiah. But there was nothing in the Temple that could produce salvation when the Temple priesthood rejected Christ.

Then God rejected the Temple by tearing up the veil.

MATTHEW 27:50   Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

:51   And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

The religion of the Jews at that moment became irrelevant as an instrument that could make people born again.

Then the rejected Messiah won our salvation down in hell by conquering the forces of demonology.

The Temple thus played no part in winning our salvation.

Jesus only achieved our salvation when the Temple priesthood rejected Him.

Thus the Temple was destroyed in AD 70 as an inadequate structure representing the rejected religion of the Jews.

After AD 70 the Christian church has found salvation all over the world without any need or use of the Jewish Temple.

Thus the Jewish Temple, even if it is rebuilt, will play no part in helping the 144000 Jews turn to the Gospel of the New Testament.

A very practical problem.

If the Temple is to be rebuilt then the Holy of Holies must be exactly on the spot where the original Holy of Holies was. The problem today is that nobody can be exactly sure where that spot is.

Babylon burned the Temple in  586 BC.

When the Jews laid the foundation of the new temple in 536 BC, it was only 50 years later. Thus there were many Jews alive who could remember exactly where the original Holy of Holies had been. Therefore they could build the new Holy of Holies on that exact same spot. They also had the prophets Haggai and Zechariah to help them.

But today, nobody knows where that exact spot is.

After the destruction of the Temple in AD 70, the Romans carried away the seven-branched candlestick to Rome.

This carving can be seen below on the arch of Titus in Rome.

In AD 445 the Vandals spent 14 days looting Rome and when they left they carried off the seven-branched candlestick. That seems to be the last reference to the candlestick.

The Temple treasure was taken back to Jerusalem from Babylon by Ezra  in 459 BC after they rebuilt the Temple between 536 BC and 515 BC. Enemies stopped them building for 17 years. Thus the actual building of the Temple took 4 years.

But today there is no original Temple treasure to be found anywhere.

This is a major problem. If the Temple is rebuilt it will possibly be the wrong place for the Temple and no original Temple vessels are available. Will that be authentic? Nobody knows for sure if God will accept that.

The Jews may decide to rebuild the temple but will it have any spiritual meaning?

Daniel’s great prophecy concerning the Temple.

DANIEL 9:24   Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

70 x 7 = 490 days left.

But a day can represent a year in prophecy.

GENESIS 29:27   Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

490 Bible years =  490 / 70 = 7 Gentile years less.

Every 70 years there is an extra 360 day Bible year compared to our 365.24 day Gentile year.

So in our years this prophecy will be   490 – 7 = 483 years (of 365.24 days).

So the Jews have 490 Bible years which is 483 of our Gentile years left, starting from the year 446 BC.

The starting date was the 20^th year of Artaxerxes who gave Nehemiah permission to rebuild Jerusalem’s wall and gates, where the streets met the wall.

NEHEMIAH 2:1   And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king,

Artaxerxes became king in 465 BC.  So 465 BC is the first year of his reign.

Thus his 20^th year would be 446 BC.

DANIEL 9:25   Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

7 weeks  +  62 weeks  = 69 weeks

Messiah means anointed One.

Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit descending on Him (not into Him) at his water baptism when He was 29, just about 30 years old.

LUKE 3:21   Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and and praying, the heaven was opened,

:22     And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

:23   And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age,

446 BC + 30 AD = 476 Gentile years,

But the Jews would have an extra 7 of their shorter years.

So 476 + 7 = 483 Jewish or Bible years.

69 x 7 =  483 days or Bible years.   So the numbers agree.

DANIEL 9:26   And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

After the 7 weeks and the 62 weeks which adds up to 69 weeks we get to AD 30 on our Gentile or Roman calendar. Jesus gets baptized and will be killed 3½ years later.

He did not die for Himself, He died to save us.

The covenant is confirmed when the sacrifices end

MATTHEW 24:1   And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

:2   And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Titus also destroyed the city of Jerusalem.

So the Romans were the people of the final Antichrist prince that will come in the Tribulation. The Roman Catholic church rose up on the ruins of the pagan Roman empire. So the final prince that shall come will be the last Pope. He will probably call himself Pope Peter II.

Pagan Rome under Titus destroyed the city of Jerusalem and left it a desolation. They chopped down all the tree for about 16 kilometers (10 miles) around the city to further desolate that area.

Then the Roman Catholic church desolated Christianity by declaring the Pope to be “Vicarius Christi”,which means "in place of Christ". They put a man in charge of the church and claimed that the Pope can forgive sins and make up church doctrines that replace the Bible. Some of these man-made doctrines and traditions then spread to the Protestants to cause the spiritual desolation to spread world wide.

DANIEL 9:27   And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

God confirmed His covenant with Abraham when Christ died to save us from our sins.

Of the 490 Bible years promised to the Jews, there were still 7 years to go when Jesus got baptized. So Jesus began His ministry as the spiritual Seed of Abraham’s faith at the end of the year AD 29 when He was almost thirty.  God would use the Life of Jesus  to confirm (at a deeper spiritual level) the promises or covenant that God had made with Abraham concerning his natural seed Isaac. Isaac would inherit the Promised Land. Jesus would inherit the entire earth as part of the Kingdom of Heaven.

A confirmed covenant cannot be broken. So neither God nor Satan nor Antichrist could break that covenant.

The Devil cannot confirm the covenant that God made with Abraham because that covenant in Genesis Chapter 15 indicated that God as a moving Light would defeat the Devil in his smoking furnace of hell which caused the horror of darkness for the unsaved that died. The three nights Jesus spent in the depths of the earth were when the covenant was confirmed by Jesus defeating Death and hell.

When Jesus died after 3½ years, in the middle of the last week or 7 years, His death did not break Abraham’s covenant but confirmed His covenant of salvation with the Jews.

But the Jews rejected Jesus. The Holy Ghost then descended on the Day of Pentecost and God began to turn to the Gentiles for 2000 years of church history. Then the final church of the Laodiceans (in Revelation Chapter 3) rejects the revealed Word of God because they prefer church traditions. Jesus stands rejected outside the church door, because He is the Word. Jesus then catches His true church up to Heaven as the world goes into the great Tribulation.

Thus in order not to break the confirmed covenant, God has to turn back to the 144000 Jews during the 3½ years of Tribulation. He owes the Jews that promise.

That is why the Jews are re-gathering in Israel.

There will be a time of the great Tribulation when God will return to them, using the two prophets Moses and Elijah.

Never does the Bible say that there is a 7 year Tribulation.

But six times the Bible mentions a 3½ year Tribulation.

Now, watch. It was given by our Lord Jesus in Matthew 24, that the Jews would be taken out of the picture. Daniel said, back over in the old prophets; he said that there would be seventy of weeks yet 'lotted to the Jews. And the Messiah would come (the Prince) and would prophesy in the midst of the seventieth weeks, which was the seven years, He'd be cut off in the midst. Look how perfect it was. Jesus was exactly preached three and one-half years and was crucified…There's three and a half years yet allotted to them, to the Jew. It's got to be.

A stock exchange covenant between the Pope and the Jews

And he makes this covenant with the Jews, and in the midst of this three and a half years, he breaks his covenant as soon as he gets the thing wrapped up and gets the money of the Jews tied up.

The antichrist Pope will make a covenant with the Jews during the Tribulation but it will be for their Stock exchange money. Once he gets his hands on the Stock exchange money which he will combine with the natural wealth of the Roman Catholic church, that will act as a magnet to attract the wealth of all the non-Catholic churches. Then he will rule the world’s finances and everyone will have to take on the mark of denominational religion, ruled by Roman Catholicism, in order to survive financially.

Then in the middle of the 3.5 years of great Tribulation time, the prince that shall come will break his financial covenant with the Jews.

Furthermore, the elect will not only be kept, but as this move becomes the "IMAGE ERECTED TO THE BEAST," the saints will be gone in the rapture. And this little delightful, winsome movement that started out in fellowship at Ephesus will become the monster of Satan that defiles and deceives the whole world. For the church system of the Roman Catholic and the Protestant in coming together will control the whole wealth of the world system and force the whole earth into its religious trap, or will kill them, by refusing them the privilege of buying and selling whereby they would make a living. This will be accomplished simply, for the harlot's daughters are all but gone back to her. In the meantime, Rome has acquired nearly all the supplies of gold. The Jews have the bonds and all the paper. At the right time, the harlot will destroy the present day money system by calling in all the paper, and demanding gold. With no gold, the system falls. The Jews will be trapped and come into the alliance, and the harlot church will take over the whole world.

Notice. In the last one-half of Daniel's week, the people makes a covenant with this prince, makes a covenant with Rome. Makes a covenant with them no doubt for the wealth, for Catholic and Jew holds the wealth of the world.

… And after the church is taken away, Rome and  the Jews will make a covenant with one another. The Bible said they would, with the holy people. And now notice, they'll make it, because why? This nation is going to be busted, and the rest of the world that's on the gold standard is busted. You know that. If we're living off of taxes, due bills for forty years from now, where are we at? There's only one thing can happen. That's to call in the currency and pay off the bonds; and we can't do it. Wall Street owns them, and Wall Street's controlled by the Jews; the rest of it's in the Vatican, and the Jews has got the rest of it in Wall Street with the commerce of the world.

We can't call it in. And if we could do it, do you think these whiskey guys and all these tobacco people with billions times billions of dollars a year and write off all their income tax for old vulgar pictures and things like that--go out in Arizona there and buy thousands of acres of land, and dig them big wells at fifty thousand dollars and pay it off with income tax? And they'd put you in jail if you don't pay yours. But they write it off and throw up wells and send bulldozers in.

And what do they do? They put housing projects in there, and the next turn around with their money they made (they have got to make an investment) and put houses, projects in there and sell them for millions of dollars. Do you think them guys is going to compromise to change the currency?

Like this fellow down here in (What's his name?) Castro did. He done the only smart thing he ever did do then, when he destroyed the bonds: paid them off and destroyed them. Notice, but we can't do that. These guys won't let us.

The rich merchants of the earth hold it, and then there's only one thing to do: The Catholic church can pay it off. She's the only one that's got the money; she can do it, and she will do it.

And in doing this to get it, she'll compromise with the Jews and make a covenant, and when she makes this covenant with the Jews... Now, remember, I'm taking this from the Scriptures. And now, when she does this and makes this covenant, we notice in Daniel 8:23 and 25 he will cause craft to prosper (And craft is manufacturing.), in his hand.

And he makes this covenant with the Jews, and in the midst of this three and a half years, he breaks his covenant as soon as he gets the thing wrapped up and gets the money of the Jews tied up. And when he does that, oh, my, oh, my, he's called the antichrist until the end of the church age, for he and his children are against Christ and the Word. This man's called the antichrist. Now, he's going to hold the money. And that's where I think he'll come in. Just a minute, while I say this, then I want to go back to it in a minute.

He's called the antichrist and will be called the antichrist in the sight of God until the end time. 

Now, when he gets the money all under control, then he will break this covenant with the Jews, as Daniel here said he would do it, in the midst of the last half of the seventy weeks of Daniel.

[Breaks his covenant with the Jews in the middle of the last 3½ years].

And then, brother, what will he do? He will have all of the world trade and the commerce, a pact with the world, 'cause he will hold the wealth of the world completely.

And during that time, them two prophets will rise on the scene and call that hundred and forty-four thousand. Then what will take place? Then the mark of the beast of Revelations 13 will set in, 'cause he holds all the commerce, trade and everything of the world. And what will take place then? The mark of the beast will come in that no man can buy or sell except him that has the mark of the beast. Thank God, the Church will be enjoying a great three and a half years in glory. Don't have to go through that.

MATTHEW 24:16   Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

This was referring to AD 70. As the Roman army prepared to attack Jerusalem, the Christians and Jews  had to flee from the city.

MATTHEW 24:17   Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

They had to get out fast before the Romans encircled the city.

MATTHEW 24:18   Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

It was foolish to go back into the city if you were outside. All you could do was run for your life.

MATTHEW 24:19   And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

Pregnant women or mothers with young babies would have to head for the hills. Obviously this was going to be very difficult.

MATTHEW 24:20   But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

Winter would have been deadly cold. That is why Jesus was not born on 25 December. It was far too cold for shepherds to be out with their sheep at night. Christmas never entered the church until about AD 350 when the Bishop of Rome copied the sun god worship festival.

Saturday was the Jewish Sabbath. They were not allowed to walk far on a Sabbath. The Romans would easily then catch up with them.

The Romans cut down all the trees for about 16 kilometers (10 miles) around the city of Jerusalem. This left the countryside desolate.

Then Roman Catholicism would move away from the Bible and make up their own beliefs. Many of these denominational beliefs would infiltrate the Protestant churches and that would make the churches desolate of Bible truth.

People believe that the Book of Revelation was all written around the year AD 100. Because the Temple was destroyed in AD 70 they claim that any reference to a Temple must be referring to the future Temple that will be rebuilt in the Tribulation. Thus they believe that Revelation Chapter 11 refers to the future Temple.

REVELATION 11:1   And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

:2     But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

But part of Revelation was written in the days of the emperor Nero who died in AD 68.  John was a political prisoner on the island of Patmos when Nero began his persecution of Christians in AD 64 in order to blame them for the great fire that burnt much of Rome.

7 kings ended the Republic and began the Roman Empire

These five had died. “five have fallen”.

Claudius married Nero’s mother. She poisoned Claudius to make Nero emperor in AD 54.

“One is”.   Nero was emperor when John the Revelator had his first prison term on the island of Patmos.

REVELATION 17:10  And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

Galba was a Spanish general who usurped the throne when Nero committed suicide in AD 68. Galba was killed after seven months.

“There are seven kings”.

This family of Julius Caesar produced the first emperors of Rome.

They destroyed the power of the Senate that used to rule the Roman empire. They imposed a one-man-dictatorship on Rome. They accepted the title of Pontiff of the pagan Babylonian mysteries. Under Nero they began a savage persecution of Christians. The seventh or last member was an outsider with military backing who usurped the position of emperor for a brief while.

REVELATION 17:11   And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

“The beast” is the Roman Catholic hierarchy that had accepted the antichrist spirit of the ancient Babylonian priesthood that came from the first rebel, Nimrod.

“He is the eighth”. Seven completes a system, like 7 days completes a week. Thus eight is a new system. The succession of Popes who rule the Catholic church have the same spirit as the first pagan Roman rulers.

“Of the seven” means of the same nature as the first seven pagan Roman rulers of the pagan Roman empire.

In a nutshell this described the nature of the papacy (the succession of Popes). They destroyed the early church practice whereby small church groups were each ruled by local elders who taught only what was written in the New Testament. A one-man-dictatorship was imposed on the church in the person of the Pope. The Pope was called Pontiff to indicate that he was now also the high priest of the Babylonian pagan mysteries. Millions of people who disagreed with the Roman Catholic church were killed and persecuted during the Dark Ages and the Counter Reformation that only ended around 1650.

At the end the man of sin, that vile person, will usurp the position of the Pope. The wealth and religious prestige of the Vatican will make it the obvious target for Satan’s superman as he rises to become the world dictator.

“The beast that was, and is not”,

The Roman Catholic church has been ruled by a succession of Popes who are the longest line of rulers in the world.

“the beast that was”. The Pope is the figurehead of the church system.  “He was” means as far back as you want to go, right back to the days of the early church, there always was a Pope or a bishop of Rome.

By calling themselves the successors of saint Peter, the Roman Catholic church can be traced back right to the beginning of the church. But Peter was married and baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. The Popes never did this.

“And is not”. The Pope dies. This is what has wrecked every line of rulers over the ages. A strong king dies and there is no good son to take over from him, so the family line starts to die out. Julius Caesar’s line only lasted until Nero.

The problem of succession was solved by the Catholic church by forbidding the Pope to marry. Thus there would be no useless son taking over from a competent father. Then the Council of Cardinals would elect the most competent Cardinal to be the next Pope.

The Pope is the figurehead of this beast religious system.

REVELATION 17:8    The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

The idea of a Pope, cardinals, archbishops, and the Vatican with its idols (statues) is completely unscriptural. Thus these ideas come out of the bottomless pit. But the pomp and ceremony and excessive wealth of the Vatican services impress the world.

“the beast that was, and is not, and yet is”.

The succession of Popes. As far back as you want to go there was a Pope. Then the Pope dies (“and is not”) and “yet is”. The cardinals elect a new Pope.

DANIEL 11:21   And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

Because of the world-wide religious influence and financial power of the Catholic church, the papacy will be the main institution for the man of sin, also called the son of perdition (the son from hell) to take over as he launches his bid to become world ruler.  The cardinals will not elect him. Nevertheless he will somehow talk his way in to become Pope. He will most likely call himself Pope Peter 2.

His military power will come from ten dictators. If they are in different parts of the world then it will be easy for them to crush rebellion wherever it rises as one or more of them will be close to the area of unrest.

In 2021 America withdrew from Afghanistan. Their chaotic departure signified their end as the world's policeman. It is just too cumbersome for one country to try to keep other countries under control.

Ten military dictators in different parts of the world will be far more effective to exercise military control.

REVELATION 17:12  And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

“power as kings”. They have power as if they are kings but have no crowns. Thus they are dictators.

Any democratically elected leader who stays in power longer than 8 to 10 years, is actually a dictator.

:13     These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

“Their power” means their military power.  The final Pope will already have the religious power of the churches and huge money power influence thanks to the Jew’s Stock exchange money and the Vatican gold. Especially when he unites with the Protestant churches.

Thus, the future value of the Jews to the final antichrist Pope will be their Stock Exchange money.

Rebuilding a Temple in Jerusalem just has no Scripture to establish that idea.

Going back to the Scripture that says “one is”.

That means John wrote part of the Book of Revelation when Nero was emperor. Nero burnt Rome in AD 64, blamed the Christians and persecuted the Christians between AD 64 and AD 68. Thus the Temple was still standing at that time.

When the emperor died all the political prisoners were released. So John was released in AD 68 and the Temple was only destroyed in AD 70.

Domitian was emperor from AD 81 to AD 96. He persecuted Christians and John was again imprisoned on the island of Patmos. That is when John finished the Book of Revelation. When Domitian died in AD 96 then John was once again released. John chose the 27 Books that would form the New Testament and warned us, at the end of the Book of Revelation, not to add or remove anything from the Bible.

Will the Temple be rebuilt in the Tribulation?

The Jews could obviously do this but there is no Scripture that clearly says so.
