Former soldiers of the PMC Wagner and Storm-Z joined the Russian Volunteer Corps, which is fighting on the side of Ukraine.

Russian Denis Nikitin, head of the unit, also known by the call sign “White Rex”, announced this.

The new Russian fighters of the Russian Volunteer Corps, who recently fought against Ukraine, have already helped to recapture part of Ukrainian territory.

“I can open the seal of secrecy; a fighter from PMC Wagner and a fighter from Storm-Z participated in the liberation of 200 square meters of Ukrainian land for Ukraine as part of the Russian Volunteer Corps,” Denys Nikitin shared.

The commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps noted that he considers the experiment with recruiting former Russian mercenaries a success so far.

The Russian Volunteer Corps command is also involved in negotiations with other PMC Wagner fighters who did not fight on the territory of Ukraine and do not want to join the Russian Defense Ministry.

“They can continue doing what they love, but now as part of the Russian Volunteer Corps. My task as a commander is to give them this opportunity,” “White Rex” noted.

The Russian Volunteer Corps also accepts former Russian military and ordinary Russian volunteers.

“The new recruits of the Russian Volunteer Corps have arrived in Ukraine and are ready to become full-fledged soldiers of the Corps. The road to our base, the young soldier’s course, training and tests, and, of course, the war for which they came, are ahead,” the unit’s page reads.

The unit has established a process for Russians to legally enter Ukraine, and”recruits from the Russian Federation now come by the dozens.”

Recently, Daniil Alfyorov, a Russian lieutenant, voluntarily joined the unit.

Alferov also convinced 11 Russian soldiers to surrender. They took advantage of the “I Want to Live” program.
