Share ONE interesting thing about YOU that would never appear on a resume (🔨 hobby, 🏆 recent accomplishment, 🍔 favorite food, 👃 obscure allergy, ⚽ beloved sports team, 🏖️ recent travel experience, 📝 great story, 🤩 celebrity doppelgänger, etc… Everything is fair game) 2. Share ONE thing that you're looking to do professionally: 🌱 grow your network, launch a 🎓 course or 📰 newsletter, offer a service, get advice on something, etc. 3. INTERACT with other comments! The best way to build relationships is to engage with others. Check back often and reply as much as you can. The 🥅 GOAL is to make sure that EVERYONE who comments gets a reply. Commenting on other comments will get you noticed and lead to more connections. Note to Jobseekers: commenting and engaging is a great way to connect with others and meet new people, but recruiters and hiring managers aren't usually scrolling the comments. Sharing is CARING. Love to journal but hate spending time organizing your thoughts and formatting your entries? Here’s my 5 minute end-of-day ritual powered by Notion. At the end of the day, I love to take five minutes to collect and gather my thoughts in the form of a journal entry. I generally keep it simple with three sections: (1) things that went well, (2) things that did not go well, (3) and things I’m grateful for.  I call this “Good, Bad, Grad.”  It helps me sleep, and reduces my anxiety, especially if I’m fixated on some intense or challenging things.  So, I’m constantly searching for the best tool to do that. For many years, I used a really long Google Doc where I would type in a few things, copy and paste different sections for each day. But eventually, I got tired of scrolling in Google Docs and decided to move my journaling to Notion using their template architecture. Now, combined with their new AI tools, I am super excited about what has become a five-minute exercise at the end of each day to organize my thoughts. Here’s my 5 minute process: 1️⃣ I dictate 5 mins stream of consciousness style to my notion app in a journal entry for the day (note: do not do this part with other humans around and especially not your partner or you will get laughed at). 2️⃣ Then I hit AI tool and give Notion a simple prompt. 3️⃣ And like magic, Notion will organize my stream of consciousness summary into my good - bad - grad categories. I can also give me any action items I need to follow up on. 4️⃣ From there I can push my action items to my to-do list in Notion, also add an AI summary as a property. As I’ve shared before, I’m not a productivity hacker. I like to build simple repeatable processes that work for me. Maybe they’ll help you too. PopTech 2024: Uncharted Territory will be at the Kennedy Center here in DC (at the Reach) on October 8-10. This will be my 11th year!
