Link a ppt: https://lnkd.in/dy2SkAcK #Goldwind has published its 2023 results. They were eagerly awaited to see if the trend of declining profitability of Chinese wind OEMs would continue and to see if the internationalisation plans are coming to fruition. Here are the highlights: ▶ 8.7% rise in revenues but reduced profitability. ▶ The last three quarters have been practically zero net profit. ▶ The turbine manufacturing unit has a gross margin of 6%, so it is making a loss. ▶ The wind farm development unit continues to grow in revenues and now accounts for 22% of the total. It has dropped in profitability but still has a 47% gross margin. ▶ The international order book has only grown by 200 MW but as there is no data on international installations, we do not know how many international MWs have been contracted in 2023. ▶ The services unit continues to lag behind its western peers contributing 10.4% of revenues and with a gross margin of 19.8%. ▶ On turbine type sold, GW no longer reports on technology type (DD or MSPM), but only size. Turbines of +6 MW already account for 45% of sales in 2023. #windenergy #windturbine

Global BD Dr O&M Services ◆ Renewable Energy ◆ Wind Energy ◆ PV Energy ◆ Hydro Energy ◆ Biomass Energy ◆ Green H2

I guess that the figure about Services is not contributing as per non-chinese OEMs because in many cases, turbines are sold with no linked O&M services agreements... Thanks for sharing Kiko!

Muy interesante Kiko. As always.
