At ChainSafe, you’ll be part of a team that believes in the vital importance of community and contributing to advancing humanity with open-source and decentralized technology. This role is a great fit for someone who has startup experience and is excited for the opportunity to lead accounting and finance at a thriving global company.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounting Teams of all Subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping, payroll, and month-end processes and reporting
• Prepare quarterly Board Decks
• Develop annual Budget, conduct monthly variance analysis and provide the latest estimate.
• Ensuring cash requirements and working capital is reviewed and supported through cash management * Ensure appropriate internal controls are established and maintained across processes in all Subsidiaries
• Identify and implement appropriate accounting standards and policies that comply with IFRS and US GAAP
• Responsible for Tax and regulatory compliance, ensuring completion of mandatory business filings in Canada, USA, Croatia, Germany; ensure appropriate taxation and remittance set-up of all employees
• Manage all external tax relationships with counsels and professional firms, including transfer pricing models
• Prepare and manage company financial model, including ongoing scenario analysis and planning

Requirements

• Minimum four years of experience, five to seven preferred
• Bachelor’s degree, CPA designation or equivalent
• Comfortable with financial forecasting and modeling
• Comfortable with IFRS and US GAAP Accounting standards
• Management experience, and International vendor /3rd-party management
• Experience with managing digital assets for accounts receivable and payroll, and tax obligations
• Nice to have - Experience with treasury management
