Potato milk based vegan ice cream.... Yes you did read that right.... And remember, you saw It here first! We're always striving to find the next best thing and we're super excited to let you know that we will be replacing oat milk with super friendly, sustainable and even better for the planet, potato milk for our vegan ice cream offerings. We believe we are the first 'commercial' ice cream company in the UK to make the jump! A few batches of our new Vegan Vanilla Pod have already hit our chefs freezers with great feedback and we look forward to welcoming our Vegan Chocolate and Sea Salt to the range in the next couple of weeks - both made using potato milk. 🥔🥔🥔🥛🥛🥛🍦🍦🍦

The genius potato. What I mean by this is that: 1. Potatoes don’t need much to grow at all, making them a super-sustainable crop compared to others like soybeans, almonds, oats, or dairy. 2. Growing potatoes is actually twice as efficient as growing oats in terms of land use. 3. In fact, switching to a potato-based alternative reduces the climate impact by about 75%. 4. Compared to almonds, potatoes need a lot less water to grow. In fact, 56 times less. 5. Using more water-efficient produce like potatoes helps conserve water to prevent shortages and droughts. 6. And last but not least, potatoes can grow in space. Dominic Parry, it's not at all surprising 😉 Veg of Lund AB & The Saffron Ice Cream Company: 👏
