U & I hosted an exclusive security leadership dinner last night, bringing together a hand-picked group of distinguished security leaders, investors, and innovators. Our goal was to spark a dynamic conversation about the rapidly evolving world of AI security, and the diverse perspectives shared throughout the evening led to a truly engaging and insightful exchange. We have Ian Swanson, the CEO of Protect AI and his first-check investor, Ed Sim at boldstart ventures to thank for partnering on this one. We agreed that the pervasive adoption of AI across all industries highlights the urgent need for robust security measures, tailored to the unique vulnerabilities of AI systems. We discussed the limitations of traditional security approaches when it comes to AI, emphasizing the importance of increased awareness, collaboration, and the development of specialized LLMs and AI agents. The dinner proved to be a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and insights, ultimately underscoring the need for industry leaders to proactively connect and discuss emerging trends in tech. We look forward to continuing the conversation and collaborating with these leaders to shape a secure future for AI.
This was a great event: fantastic food and drinks; well-organized; open and healthy discussions. Thank you, Kim Moore, Ian Swanson, and Ed Sim, for bringing us together and allowing us to share our perspectives on the intersection of AI and Cybersecurity and what it means for the short and long term.
Another amazing event! Thanks Kim Moore
The rapid integration of AI across industries echoes the early days of the internet, where security vulnerabilities were initially overlooked until widespread breaches highlighted the need for robust safeguards. Just as firewalls and intrusion detection systems emerged to address those challenges, we now require specialized defenses tailored to the unique characteristics of AI systems. Given the potential for adversarial attacks to manipulate training data and introduce biases into AI models, how can we effectively implement robust adversarial robustness techniques within the LLM training pipeline to ensure reliable and trustworthy AI outputs?
Good food, compelling conversations, and great people!! Thanks U & I!
🙌🏼 amazing evening and discussion - thank you all!
