Today’s episode marks our 50th show since we relaunched it in February of 2022. Over these nearly two years, we’ve stayed true to our mission: offering a window into the people of BanklessDAO and the projects they are working on that drive their passion in exploring web3 technology and culture.
Though a large percentage of our contributors are U.S.-based, we are a global organization working toward decentralization and exploring the potential of these tools.

IcedCool is a longtime core contributor at BanklessDAO and has been with BanklessDAO since its inception over two years ago. Iced has contributed in multiple areas including the Developer Guild and Operations, as well as Treasury & Tokenomics.
He previously appeared on Making Bank to discuss tokenomics and a bit of his personal story on Episode 39 (December, 2022). Today he returns to Making Bank to talk specifically about a new primitive he and the Tokenomics team have been working on that will help facilitate governance, contributor retention, and more. Today’s guest is Ed On, aka jackalpha in Discord. Ed studied civil engineering, so he’s a bridge builder in the literal and metaphorical sense. Just prior to getting into web3, he worked as a web2 product manager at Samsung.
Ed is on the core team at Bankless Japan, part of the IMN or International Media Nodes at BanklessDAO. He also works on WonderVerse.xyz and WonderCommunities.com. Wonder builds the WonderVerse, which is collaboration tooling for web3 communities to manage projects, proposals, and grants seamlessly in one place.
A few months ago he co-presented with Yuki_xyz during BUIDL week, a hackathon at EthDenver in Colorado. And he was recently in Japan, attending DAO Tokyo and EthTokyo where he met up with fellow DAO contributors, including a few of our Bankless frens.
