Some cities work well in black & white, and Berlin is one of them.
While walking across the Spree on the Weidendammer Brücke, I was attracted by the symmetry of the reflections on the water and the stillness of the scene. It took only a few minutes of patience to wait for a train and add movement into the frame.
I spent a few days in Lima, Peru, and was quite annoyed that I only took two pictures.
I blame a busy schedule but also a very long trip and seven hours of time difference that cut my legs off.
On the bright side, I like one of the two images, for an outstanding 50% success rate ;)
Work
Chef Marc Forgione cooking a mean Carbonara in Peasant, one of his NYC restaurants.
This is the first image where the M11 sensor blows my mind, it was taken at 12,500 ISO in a very dark cellar.
About three years ago, when we all got grounded by a pandemic, I decided to make more photos in the streets of Vienna.
I started a bit randomly, then challenged myself to include people in my photos, something I have always struggled with.
A few themes appeared as I accumulated photos of the People of Vienna.
I finally published the first four sets: Focus, Work, Wait, and Ride.
They are now live in the projects section of my blog at https://paolo.blog/projects/
I published most of them on Glass and on the blog individually, but I like seeing them work together, and I hope you will too.
