RMRK ecosystem report

It was another month of relentless building at RMRK and we have some notable updates to show for it. There was continuous development on the core protocol, Singular, and Skybreach.

The biggest news on the core protocol front is that smart contracts have passed internal audit and are now ready for external review. Despite this, there is still some time before RMRK EVM will be live.

Singular saw a slew of updates this month–revamped collection cards, inventory preview, RMRK1 history merge, and more–which are all leading up to something better.

We were also very active on the business development and community side of things, revamping our ambassador program among other activities.

Read on to get all the details.

RMRK protocol

  • RMRK EVM Smart contracts have passed internal security checks and are ready for external audits and security passes. If you are a solidity developer, feel free to try them out and give us your feedback.
  • All NFTs migrated from RMRK1 now display a better history table that includes events that happened before the migration. Thus, looking at any RMRK 1 NFT on Singular v2 will display its history before and after the migration.
  • There was increased activity on our open-source RMRK substrate pallets from open-source contributors. The contributions are around some of the most complicated parts of the code: recursive calls and benchmarking.
  • We began work on an aggregated multi-chain indexer that can index RMRK NFTs from multiple chains and implementations (multiple EVM smart contracts, pallets, and Kusama). Once finished, this will greatly improve the user experience, allowing us to display NFTs from different chains in a single list.

Singular

  • Singular users can now filter and sort Statemine NFTs by price and listing. We achieved this by upgrading the Statemine indexer with the help of Subsquid.
  • We released the first step in redesigning the NFT details page, starting with inventory preview. This page will have a complete overhaul in the next month incrementally.
  • Thanks to some performance optimization, NFTs and their media should load much faster now.
  • You can now bulk list NFTs again.
  • A lock indicator is now displayed on an NFT when the NFTs in the collection have reached the collection’s limit.
  • Collection cards have been redesigned.
  • Search now defaults to a collection view instead of NFTs as it was before.
  • You can now view your previously burned NFTs in your Space
  • You can now send any NFT to any other NFT even to un-owned ones.
  • Julieanne Ng was featured in the new Singular Artist Spotlight.

Skybreach (including non-tech progress)

  • We have started working on Mini games re-using code from skybreach prototypes, stay tuned.
  • Compiled all Skybreach dev concepts and simplified them together.
  • Building out Skybreach mechanics concepts for combat, crafting, building, staking.

Community & BizDev

That’s all for this month. Until next month, stay RMRKable ❤️

About RMRK

RMRK is a next-generation NFT protocol that equips NFTs with superpowers, making it possible for NFTs to own other NFTs, change based on conditions, have multiple outputs depending on context, accept emojis, and more.

With these legos, RMRK enables the creation of the most advanced NFT projects the world has ever seen, while remaining compatible with archaic standards like ERC721 and ERC1155. You can explore this right now on Kanaria, RMRK’s flagship Modular NFT project; join the revolution in Skybreach, a truly decentralized metaverse; or trade advanced NFTs on Singular, the advanced NFT marketplace.
