CUSPE attracts researchers from across the academic disciplines (scientists, engineers and social scientists), all of whom have a desire to understand how their own research, or science more generally, fits within a broader policy context. I have helped organise debates, workships and sponsorship on topical public science issues, and I have also had the wonderful opportunity of meeting policy-makers and researchers with an impact on society.

I had the responsibility of organising our college ball with external contractors, the city council, the college and other committee members. The ball was a very large scale event, with roughly 1500 guests, and it was my responsibility to ensure that it goes smoothly logistically and also has creative coherency. I was also tasked with managing a considerable budget.
