Welcome Ron Miller, our new Operating Partner and Head of Editorial, FastForward Launch Day
At boldstart, we are all about partnering with technical enterprise founders from Inception and helping them accelerate their path to product market fit. Much of that help is focused on vetting and selling future hires along with introducing potential design partner customers into the mix. While we’ve long had a great group of Global 2000 IT executives as partners and friends, we’ve added a new Operating Partner to strengthen our network and broaden our reach.
We’re thrilled to welcome Ron Miller as our Editorial Director and Head of our CIO/CISO network. Ron joins us from TechCrunch where he was an Enterprise Reporter for over 10 years covering startups, cloud and CIOs like Lori Beer. Ron will launch a new blog and newsletter called FastForward powered by boldstart aimed at CIOs, CISOs and other executives who set technology strategy inside organizations. Ron will profile leading IT executives to discuss key priorities at some of these Fortune 500 enterprises along with helping founders understand how they engage with startups. Ron will also continue to write thought and trend pieces on key topics for enterprise software and cloud executives in general.
FastForward is more than just a publication. Ron will also spearhead and formalize our already strong network of leading IT executives to bring them together with founders for more boldstart events and larger gatherings throughout the year. Participants will have a chance to not only learn from each other, but also meet founders who can accelerate some of their initiatives.
Like most hires at boldstart, we got to know Ron over the last decade as he covered many of our initial rounds for portfolio companies along with writing an in-depth profile on the NYC Enterprise Infrastructure scene back in 2018! Ron, btw, was one of the first reporters to dig deeper to show that NYC was more than just an application layer market.
As you can imagine, we’re fired 🔥 up to have Ron join the team as he will also help our founders with messaging as they prepare for their initial company launches.
