Most people assume cannabis calms the nervous system. For some neurodivergent individuals, especially those with Asperger’s or autism spectrum disorders, the opposite can happen.

In this case study, I share the experience of a 40-year-old man who had a significant adverse reaction to THC, why it happened from a neurobiological perspective, and how we rebuilt his system using a five-domain clinical approach focused on nervous system regulation, lifestyle medicine, CBD, and gradual cannabinoid reintroduction.
