I felt weighed down by running from anxiety, only to find I was carrying it in my backpack.
It took a long time for me to get some control over it. That process started with not feeling shame for accepting help. I was inspired by the lyrics from “A Little Help from My Friends,” a Beatles song from 1967. That inspiration allowed me to start reframing my worldview and ask things like:
Could I have just a little more control over stress instead of it running the show?
Can I become just a bit more efficient and effective without losing who I am?
Could I improve a few simple things to increase my health, income, and happiness in this complex game called life?
For me, it started by accepting help from what was available to me and not blocking it. Yeah, a little help from a friend called life, and a little less self-criticism and shame.
If any of this vibrates to your inner string, grab my e-book and start turning our world of chaos into something you can work with.
Stay tuned - I’m trying to get it discounted to zero for my readers this Friday.
