LIVE NOTES FROM CAMP DAY 1!!!

We will be interviewing Harrison Mevis following practice today.

• Alaric Jackson is at practice. As is Puka = both were full participants

• Stetson and Ty both throwing with some zip in warm up and easy-ups = Stetson took the reigns just like Garoppolo did last szn

• Quentin with a near INT, great break up

• McVay bouncing around behind punt team during ST period

• returners fielding everything cleanly

• Bennett’s runs “perfect play” to signal start of position drills (easy ups)

• God is Myles so fast off the edge

• Saw impressive rep from Warren kickstepping WAYYYY deep to keep Myles away from 13, but you can see a difference in Myles vs other rushers

• Good seeing CJ work up for more block action

• Ty fired to an open WR, a little too hot. Smith ran a good underneathe route, ball was zipped-in around his face, cannot tell if that has to be slightly softer for that route, regardless needs to be caught by Xavier, dangerous deflection

• Corum def looks very damn quick accelerating to the hole. Small sample size but will try to watch how quick his decision-making is this camp

• Communication, lots of it happening in backend after every play with the 1’s

• Trent immediately finishing his coverage and looking across the other sideline to see if guys were in position, thumbs up

• Defense is aggressively attacking underneathe routes. Dolac with a great PBU vs Ty

• Kyren beats Speights on a “choice” quick pass by Bennett, Kyren big play

• Passing windows are TIGHT so far

• Offense not risking sitting in pocket. Very quick releases so far.

• This defense is fast and athletic

• Ty playaction is covered so well by the D. Absolutely nothing open

• Fade route to Adams by Bennett, phenkmenal coverage by Watson. Tipped, Kinchens dives for it

• Bennett and Simpson both getting rid of it quickly today. Everything has tempo. Similar to Jimmy operating in the huddle last camp

• Finally! We see a big Jarquez Hunter run. Bounces out right and is galloping to goal line

• Ty Simpson strike to Konata over the middle. Running for good yards

• Bennett evades pressure, rolls right? Hits Higbee in endzone vs McDuffie

• Bennett hitting some good passes in redzone

• Some Ty passes sailing, gotta settle in

• Xavier goes up high for a screen and pulls it in. Blocks gave him fighting chance for yards maybe
