The House passed a “minibus” spending bill 397–28, and the Senate followed with a huge 82–15 vote, keeping agencies funded through September 30th.
Instead of cutting budgets like the Trump administration proposed, Congress put more money than requested into major science agencies like NOAA, NASA, and the National Science Foundation.
They chose to fund weather forecasting, research, and space programs rather than shrink them.
