A THIRD person has died following an encounter with ICE in just one week.
A 28-year-old man was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer this morning (Tuesday 7/14) after fleeing an encounter with ICE and Homeland Security Investigations agents in St. Augustine, Florida.
As of Tuesday evening, authorities had not publicly released his name, nationality or immigration status. They also haven't said if he was the intended target of their operation.
His death follows the fatal shootings of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston and Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine.
Also today, ICE ordered a temporary nationwide pause in most vehicle stops following the fatal shootings in Texas and Maine.
