Just days before his assassination, Israel offered Al-Sharif and his family safe evacuation. The catch? He’d have to stop reporting about Gaza. Odd thing to offer a “terrorist,” no?

But even if one insists on the resistance angle, international law still recognizes the right of an occupied people to resist.
