A year ago today, I watched one of my best friends say goodbye to her family. She told them, “I’m scared, but I’m also excited.” Dispite thinking she’d be gone within the week, she lived on for another ten months. She traveled to Mexico and the Bounday Waters with her family. No moment was ever lost on her.

I hope you have the honor of one day watching someone of true faith, depart from this world. It will change you forever.

I love you Kate. You were one of the bravest and most beautiful souls I’ve ever known.

Not dying.

Just logging off.

Getting a job no one cares about.

Growing tomatoes.
