A protester was arrested on live TV for criticizing Trump’s Venezuela policy. Jessica Plichta helped organize an anti-war march through snowy Grand Rapids streets.
During an ABC interview, she said this:
“This isn’t just a foreign issue — it’s our tax dollars being used to commit war crimes.”
Minutes later, police handcuffed her on camera.
If speech like that is enough to justify an arrest, the issue isn’t public safety. It’s dissent … and how quickly it’s criminalized.
The First Amendment doesn’t die all at once. It’s strangled in moments exactly like this.
