Reflecting on writing: I keep noticing how easy it is to slip into performing—even when I think I’m showing up authentically.

There’s so much conditioning: to impress, to be palatable, to be productive.

But presence in writing feels different. It’s slower. It’s not trying to win—it’s trying to witness.

And still, it’s powerful to be seen and mirrored in community—especially when during seasons of grief tending and reclamation.
