How many lives,

Must one live.

To be a poet?

A grower?

A baker?

A maker

Of wooden things?

Yes, we can live many lives

For life brings different times

As a child a pilot

In dreams, escaping a riot.

As a teen, a rockstar

A bed as a stage, holding a guitar.

To an audience of none.

My dear Sylvia, the life you want

Is not an impossible taunt.

it’s before you in a dream.

Vivid and serene.

Moments left for you to behold.

A future maybe, foretold.

I have lived many lives,

My dreams, have truly been alive.
