Make money doing the work you believe in

I come to you as a fellow US citizen requesting your solidarity. Let’s put of political difference behind us and unite as human beings.

While our nation boasts many strengths, we must confront the challenges that hinder our collective prosperity. Our struggle isn't with each other but with systemic issues that favor the ultra-wealthy over the hardworking majority.

The top 1% earn 10 times or more the income of the bottom 90% of earners combined.

With a population of approximately 340.1 million as of July 1, 2024, we, the working class, are the majority. We have the power to demand that our 547 federal representatives, including the President and Vice President, address our concerns. They are elected to serve us, and it's our right to hold them accountable.

We all want the same things:

  1. Real Living Wages - The federal minimum wage has remained at $7.25 per hour since July 24, 2009. Consequently, many workers must hold multiple jobs to make ends meet.

  2. Tax reform - we need a tax system that’s fair and equitable. Individuals with lower incomes pay a significant portion of their earnings in taxes, while the wealthiest get tax breaks and exploit loopholes to minimize their tax burden. Higher-income individuals and corporations should pay a larger percentage of their earnings in taxes.

  3. Affordable Housing - many individuals and families find themselves struggling to afford homes or even rent, leading to increases in homelessness. The homeless include the young, the elderly, veterans, people with disabilities or addition, domestic violence victim, runaways, foster kids aging out of foster care, to just name a few. One of the biggest cause of this has been large institutional investors that have been purchasing single-family homes, often to convert them into rental properties. These same institutions have also sold properties at inflated prices. This has cause prices to skyrocket.

  4. Healthy Food Production and Affordability - Food insecurity and poor nutrition remain significant challenges in the United States, with many communities lacking access to fresh, healthy food due to economic barriers. This lack of access contributes to a higher prevalence of chronic diseases. Additionally, the affordability of processed foods often leads individuals to choose them over healthier options. It’s also concerning that certain chemicals are permitted in U.S. food but they are banned in other countries due to health risks. These same companies will change their ingredients for other countries but now ours.

  5. Gun Violence and Public Safety - I don’t want to take your guns away. I don’t want mine taken away but it is imperative that we come together to develop and implement policies that protect our communities, particularly our children, from the threat of gun violence. This includes enacting sensible gun control measures, enhancing mental health support, and fostering community engagement to create safer environments for all.

  6. Addressing Rising Living Costs - The escalating costs of essential goods and services, including groceries and energy, have placed a significant burden on American households. While businesses aim for profitability, it's crucial to ensure that pricing strategies do not disproportionately impact consumers. Corporate greed has taken over. They should not make millions/billions in profits while continuing to raise our prices.

  7. Better Work Life Balance - In the United States, there is no federal law that guarantees paid time off (PTO) for employees. In contrast, many other countries recognize the importance of work-life balance and have implemented policies to support their citizens. The European Union, provides a minimum of 4 weeks paid vacation annually. Paid time off will create a healthier, more productive workforce and foster a society that values the well-being of its people.

  8. Healthcare Access and Affordability for all - this don’t need an explanation.

  9. Advocating for Affordable Education

  10. Adequate and Well-funded VA benefits - Ensuring that our veterans receive adequate and well-funded benefits is not just a responsibility; it's a commitment to honoring their service and sacrifices.

Let our voices be heard!
