Epstein tried to turn his vast and mostly empty NM ranch, 12 square miles, into its own town in 2018, so he’d have a place to hide evidence under the protection of his own municipal police force. Just one problem. Not enough people lived on the property to make it qualify. So his lawyer, who had worked a similar shady deal in Oklahoma for another rich scumbag, suggested moving a bunch of people onto the property in trailers, without telling them what they were up to or what the land would be used for.
