I used a random verb generator to trigger the idea for this one using the words understand, crash, contribute. I don’t always use the words in the order they’re given either but this story was fun to write. (There will be a follow up story to this on my YouTube channel tomorrow too).

‘It’s fine saying you wanted to contribute to the compulsory testing for our new wing style, young fairy, but understand your crash into that old biddy’s house sent gingerbread everywhere. You caused the row between the fairy government and the Wicked Witches Union.’

‘Offer them a pay rise, sir?’

‘What they want is you to be the lead ingredient in their big cook-up next week. They’re not fussy where their meat originates. You will write a humble apologetic letter and read it out live on air tonight. Grovel. Your life does depend on it. You have one hour. Get writing.’
