Substack has a referral program, which is a system where you refer people to my newsletter and earn rewards.

The reward is the same thing you already have: my newsletter. For now. More to come as I grow. Which is free. You're earning free access to a free thing by giving other people free access to the same free thing.

I cannot stress enough that I did not design this.

The one thing you get extra is direct access to me and my personal chat if you choose to be a paid subscriber. I would’ve loved for this to be free as well, but Substack didn’t give me the option. So, paid subscribers get to take part in the chat. In this safe-space chat we talk about different topics of interest, things to talk about during Substack lives I host and anything you want me to dig into and research.

ANYWAY. If you want to share my work with someone who might actually want to read it, there is now an official button for that. Visibility means everything to a writer. The unofficial method, texting a link to your group chat at 11pm with no context, remains equally valid.

More readers means more people in the room when it matters. That part isn't a joke. The rest of this was, but that part isn't.
