I’d like to say it is, but it seems like most of the pushback that I see is actually from the natural health community where people are realizing how disruptive HBC is. There still seems to be a huge disconnect between the idea of “responsible” numbers of children, birth control, what’s acceptable etc… in evangelical circles. It’s a very interesting dynamic, but I think when you separate sex from the potential to create life there are so many downstream effects. It makes me wonder if “purity culture” would have ever existed if contraception hadn’t been a thing first. Then the emphasis ends up being on the wrong thing.
