The app for independent voices

While everyone’s freaking out over Signalgate — Pete Hegseth and top Trump folks accidentally adding a journalist to a Signal group chat about war plans — nobody’s talking about the fact that Russia literally just tried to hack Signal.

Like... maybe don’t use a messaging app that foreign adversaries are actively targeting to plan military strikes? Just a thought.

Nice piece from a friend— he says he’s not a pronatalist, but son if you want More Babies, then you’re Pro Natal 😉

Why I Am Not A Pronatalist

You made it, you own it

You always own your intellectual property, mailing list, and subscriber payments. With full editorial control and no gatekeepers, you can do the work you most believe in.

#2: A white man runs every baseball operations department except one

A former steel mill next to a FrontRunner train station in Utah is set to become one of the best TODs I've ever seen. It will bring offices, schools, a performing arts center, 47 acres of parks, and 17,000 residents to a pedestrian-first neighborhood 9x denser than Salt Lake City. This is how you make transit work.

Decided to turn this into a HW problem for my sports analytics methods class… I love my job lol

ESPN just released NET points, a new NBA metric. Here's how to DIY.

We need to take the US threat very seriously and be vigilant … from the post … “The Trump regime is using the dictator’s playbook against what was once its closest ally.

This increasingly looks like a destabilization campaign aimed at annexing Canada. It would be foolish to believe this will be limited to the economic realm. If America is intent on annexing Canada, the CIA will be kicking into overdrive.

If this sounds like fanciful conspiracy to you, you need to consider that America has a very long history of running destabilization campaigns as a prelude to war or regime change operations.”

What we can expect (unfortunately)

“Typical destabilization campaigns include:

1) Economic Warfare

  • tariffs, trade embargos and sanctions

  • capital flight, investment-strike

  • economic sabotage, disrupting supply-chains and key industries

2) Political Destabilization

  • backing opposition groups and parties

  • undermining elections

  • creating a constitutional crisis

3) Social Unrest

  • instigating riots

  • funding NGOs that oppose the government

  • weaponizing identity politics, stoking racial, religious and ethnic divides

  • using agent provocateurs to turn peaceful movements violent

4) Information Warfare

  • media manipulation through funding and planted narratives

  • using bots, trolls and paid influencers to manipulate social media

  • using fear tactics, threat amplification and crisis narratives

  • hacking

5) Legal and Institutional Warfare

  • using international institutions to punish or denounce the target

  • weaponizing human rights cases to discredit leaders

  • using pressure to isolate target from allies

6) Military and Paramilitary Pressure

  • creating or funding armed opposition groups

  • using “false flag” operations to justify intervention

  • military build-up on borders

  • assassinations

  • provoking, funding and maintaining proxy wars

7) Espionage and Covert Operations

  • creating NGOs, think tanks and business groups to infiltrate society

  • leaking internal documents

  • infiltrating government agencies

  • sabotaging key infrastructure such as power grids, communications and supply chains

Donald Trump has made it clear, he has an expansionist agenda. He has wasted no time in threatening to annex both Greenland and Canada.”

It’s not a trade war; it is a destabilization campaign.
