An event with speakers that are dubious given their active goal of trying to impose harm on Canada.

Let’s think about the Conservatives actively aligning themselves with an administration that is responsible for :

• an “active trade dispute;

• tariffs on Canadian steel, aluminum, automobiles and softwood lumber;

• statements questioning Canadian sovereignty, including references to Canada as a potential 51st state;

• actively working to weaken Canadian economic sovereignty”.

And the “Leader of the Official Opposition” has chosen to share the stage with these individuals.

And of course Danielle Smith who “has pursued sovereignty legislation that challenges federal jurisdiction”, has been openly sympathetic to American annexation rhetoric”, has consistently positioned herself as the most MAGA-aligned provincial leader in the country”. She has also presided over some of the most loathsome actions in Alberta, some of which she was directly responsible (e.g., the Tylenol fiasco, two-tier health care, book bans, trampling over rights of Albertans with the notwithstanding clause, etc.) and others where she was an influencing factor (e.g,, the Alberta separatists), including the newest travesty of the release of “personal information of 2,957,857 Albertans, their names, home addresses, postal codes, phone numbers and unique elector identification numbers”. She blithely stated in “a social media post stating that those responsible should be held accountable and that her government would wait for investigation results before considering legislative changes”, but is only too willing to change the laws when it comes to consolidating her power and imposing her skewed vision for Alberta.

Is this network really about “Canadian sovereignty and strength” or about destroying it?
