I dedicated this Substack to Colin Kaepernick. I was Kaepernick’s lead lawyer starting in 2017 when Trump said at an event “get that son of a bitch off the field” and Kaepernick never played in the NFL again after taking the 49ers to the Super Bowl. I don’t think I would have ever started the MeidasTouch Network if I hadn’t witnessed Kaepernick’s courage first hand and seen the power one person’s voice can have on the country and the world. So if you’re watching the NFL or college football this weekend, I encourage you to reflect on Kaepernick’s bravery and what it meant for our country.
