Introduction
For nearly five decades, our nation has faced a crisis at its very foundation. We are seeing soaring crime, suppressed wages, and public services pushed past the breaking point.
This isn't just an accident — it's the result of mass illegal immigration that is fundamentally undermining our culture and way of life.
Our Founding Fathers, like Alexander Hamilton, warned us about this exact threat to the "safety of a republic." Now, it's our turn to fight back.
We at the IFF refuse to stand idly by. We proudly supported major bills last session to fight back against the strain of mass illegal immigration. But we have to do more in 2026 to reverse this societal decline, not just slow it down.
Here is what our policy team proposes to fight this invasion:

Idaho's Costly Burden from the Border
By Brett Farruggia | Budget Policy Analyst
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare recently released data (tinyurl.com/3m3zj6n2) showing that outlays for emergency medical services for illegal aliens totaled over $19 million in Fiscal Year 2025, all paid for by Idaho taxpayers.
This is just a small portion of the overall medical costs incurred by the state of Idaho, let alone the cost of other services illegal aliens use and abuse at no cost to themselves. Using data from a recent Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) study (tinyurl.com/3dsnsrwu), we can determine that illegal aliens account for about $60 million in state tax receipts. With the cost of emergency medical services already accounting for nearly a third of illegal alien state tax receipt revenue, the costs of illegal aliens to the state quickly exceed their meager tax contributions. This includes the vast array of services offered to illegal aliens, from law enforcement to housing to medical care…

Illegal Immigration and Elections: Only Idaho Votes in Idaho
By Ronald M. Nate | President
And now for some good news on the immigration issue in Idaho. Our laws and our constitutional amendment prohibiting anyone but U.S. citizens from voting in Idaho elections seem to be working.
Recall, in 2024, House Joint Resolution 5 (carried by Rep. Kevin Andrus), referred to as "Idaho's only citizens vote measure," passed the Legislature and put the constitutional amendment on the ballot. Voters approved the amendment in November 2024 with nearly 65% support.
Of course, the state already had some existing laws prohibiting non-citizens from voting, but the amendment solidified the principle into our state constitution. Both the law and the constitution are working as intended, with the Secretary of State's office auditing voter rolls and finding a minimal number of non-citizens registered to vote.
Here’s what has been happening so far…

Sanctuary Schools: Illegal Immigration’s Toll on Public Education
Samuel T. Lair | Legislative Affairs Director
In October 2025, a law enforcement operation at a horse track in Wilder, Idaho, turned into the state’s largest immigration raid, resulting in the arrest of 105 suspected adult illegal aliens. Subsequently, the day following the raid, nearly 20% of students in the Wilder School District were reported absent.
This incident reveals how mass immigration is transforming Idaho’s rural communities and simultaneously raises another interesting question: why are the citizens of Idaho subsidizing the education of foreign nationals, let alone illegal aliens?…
