Vaccines for Pets? No! — Here’s a Thought: I’m No Longer Vaccinating My Pets. Jenna McCarthy is back with questions about pet vaccines and the billion-dollar industry behind them. By Independent Medical Alliance and Jenna McCarthy (12/17/25)

imahealth.substack.com/…

Jenna McCarthy writes an entertaining yet truthful article about why she has stopped vaccinating her pets (along with herself and her kids). She opens with:

I used to be the public health poster girl—the kind who never missed a “wellness check” for my kids, dutifully dragged her family to the annual flu shot clinic like it was a moral duty, and believed society was one selfish decision away from a full-blown polio pandemic. I vaccinated my kids, my dogs, my cats, and, frankly, my conscience. I was the CDC’s dream patient: compliant, unquestioning, and fully insured from ankles to ears.

Then Covid hit. When medical freedom, common sense, and critical thinking flew out the window, they took my blind trust with them. Somewhere between “safe and effective” and “sudden and unexplained,” I decided maybe—just maybe—the people profiting from all of the nonsensical pandemic protocols weren’t the best stewards of anyone’s health.

The more I learned, the farther I drifted from my formerly willfully-ignorant self. I didn’t just shun Covid jabs; I became a raging anti-vaxxer. I got exemptions for the few shots my daughters still “needed” to function in society, and even stopped vaccinating my pets. Never again, if I can help it, will a needle pierce the skin of anyone or anything I love.

Check it out.

More info:

There is NO VAERS for pets, so owners and vets can’t even find out about side effects (including cancer) caused by animal vaccines.

Here’s some info from the Independent Medical Resources section of our Resources page (tinyurl.com/bddd9ffr):

We did a bunch of research about pet vaccines before sending an email to a friend. Here’s an excerpt of that email (slightly edited):

We overheard a discussion about vaccination for parvovirus in dogs and thought you might appreciate this post on X (video is just under 6 minutes; reflects views we’ve heard often from holistic animal vets):

We’ve never been able to find a publicly available database of veterinary vaccine side effects or package inserts. For humans, we can consult OpenVAERS/VAERS for Vaccine Adverse Effects (under-reported) and immunize.org/official-g… for FDA vaccine package inserts.

Here is all we can find from USDA, which licenses veterinary biologics (vaccines):

If we owned a pet now (we used to have bunnies), we would be concerned about giving animal vaccines based on “faith” that they are safe and effective and that “breakthrough” infections would be much worse if the animal were not vaccinated. (These are common phrases heard for human vaccines as well.)

Example: We searched for one individually named animal vaccine — Recombitek Parvovirus — and found this page: bi-animalhealth.com/pet….
